Well, our bird problem has gone now (see my Siskin thread). Well, 10 minutes ago I glanced up from my laptop (in a teams call) to see a mink on our front wall!! Unfortunately by the time I grabbed my phone and turned back it was gone so no photo evidence. there is a small stream about 100 yards from us

You can subscribe for cheap by doing it on a vpn (signing up). Plenty of instructions online for how to do it I suffer the ads as I watch it on a fire stick so no add blocker options

Well, today there have been quite a few less and some of the tits have been back to the feeders. @TIGHTCHOKEwe get long tails in the winter @Lampwickwe also get goldfinches as well we used to get woodpeckers and nut hatched but not since we had to have the tree cut down

Sorry, but this becoming a problem now. I would hazard a guess at over 100 of them. In fact we are seeing less of other birds now just by being crowded out!! We may have to stop feeding them!! the trouble is they are flighty my phone camera isn’t great at zoom - despite Apples advertising!!

It is the magic trick that the government does. Loading more funding for national (police/fire etc) into the council levy so they can offer a minuscule reduction in NICS - but they still have more money to throw to certain places like protecting non-uk places of worship, boaters etc…

£3k here - 9% increase with 5% increase for police and town when we moved here 20 years ago it was cheaper than Cheshire - the next county/country over but the way it has increased over the past several years is a joke Apparently the increase in Assembly Members by over 50% will have another big impact on council tax when it happens ☹️

Well, pleased as punch!! my lads Sony Bluetooth headset broke (don’t buy Sony as it is a known problem) so one of the cups was dangling. Unfortunately this model is “cheap” - still £100 - and you can only take them apart so far, not far enough to fix this issue (you can on XM4’s) so - I bought a pair of eBay that had been water damaged but were intact. Well, last night - armed with a soldering iron and wearing two pairs of glasses - I transplanted the PCB’s from a known working but physically broken pair into a known not working but physically intact. Some very fine wires in there but got it done and back together. AND THEY WORKED!!!!! So, today it was time to have a go at the car which has been flagging up “coolant level low” for several months, caused by a float sensor going. I purchased a new expansion tank a while back but every time I planned to do it the weather worked against me. So, an hour spent and a £50 part I have it done, warning didn’t come on after doing it, ready for the MOT next week So double success in 24 hours!!! When is the lottery on?? 😂

I will try and get some. we have always fed the birds - including wood pigeons (sorry - SWMBO loves them) but these are really stripping the seed!! There are worse problems to have though 😀
