  1. https://www.hotukdeals.com/search?q=television most deals seem to be at CostCo - you can do membership online for £15 - I believe that the 5 year warranty is only for when you keep the account active - if not it defaults back to manufacturers warranty - might have changed though so another FM may be able to clarify that
  2. Detached - living alone - then this - 5.1 speaker package will blow your mind
  3. showroom settings are just what they are named for - to make up for the environment of the showroom and to try and make them pop out etc. Google your model number with AVForums and try some of the settings you will find on there - they might blow your mind as to what the screen can do. Samsung have some very interesting tech coming out this year - Supposed to be very good and increases the brightness of OLED with some lateral thinking but no idea on what the cost is but I have always found Samsung to make things cartoon like in the colours but that may be just me. I have no complaints with Sony - screens lasting well (we have 2 of various ages - one is around 13 years old) - the current range has some where the speakers are actually the screen!! 2021 TV's are about to be replaced with their new brethren for 2022 and there will be good prices to have on 21 models. A place to keep an eye on is www.hotukdeals.com to see what is available at good prices - there has been a 55" LG OLED on there at £1200'ish from COSTCO this week with the 65" not being that much more. Hope it helps @ditchman
  4. So, as they claim, we are all the same irrespective of race, would mean that it is endemic in everyone
  5. Before the Heir does - it's the old saying "Heir and Spare" I believed it used to be a case - the eldest inherits - the 2nd Joins up (on a commission) and the 3rd joined the clergy
  6. RIP @Harnser - enjoy the shooting in the forever after - countless pigeons I hope for those that don't know of it
  7. is it similar to the "Dutch Cap"???
  8. He was indeed - a great loss. Who will they have on to talk about him when they make the program about his life - as Barry has been the default go to for all the greats that have passed previously
  9. In regards to Power, these should be national and sourced where we can using our own sources of fuel for the power, be it Wind, Solar, Tidal, Coal, Nuclear. Instead, the government bribes companies like Hitatchi (I think it was) with a cost per unit of Electricity to come and build a Nuclear (and the same goes on for Wind and Solar) that is extortionate because 'we' have to pay it. It is exactly the same as the PFI scandal with Hospitals etc...... Where does our Taxes go - because it ain't doing the majority of us any good
  10. Awesome - amazing tribute
  11. I had the option of blue or yellow - wish I had gone for the latter now. Although the reason I chose blue is a shoot last year at FD where the low house black clay wasn’t coming out of the hill on a layout - the light was terrible as well making the clay virtually unvisablet
  12. Damn - you have discovered my secret 🤣 I use BH as my role model!!! TBH - I flattened my old pilla frames at Christmas - and to by another set it worked out "sort of mans logic" cheaper to buy a frame and lens set - I chose the blue to see what they are like. I predominantly use a light purple though or unless it is very bright I have a dark red....I wore them at Sporting Targets
  13. You know where I mean then I didn't seem to have a problem on Saturday!!
  14. @beretta will be the latest in a long line of people to try Mind you - the way I shot at Catton on Sunday he will need to bring a sledge hammer 😞 The score card is in my boot and I am still to scared to look. Absolutely a nightmare start - lesson learnt - blue lenses (new) are not good in woods with Orange Clays
  15. lets send Borris - he is rather good at throwing parties - they can have a knees up and it will all be "forgotten"
  16. @TK421 It is only an XF - you see thousands a day - I was torn between the luxury brands (I was doing a lot of mileage and wanted something comfortable and decent) but with my Dad having one - that is what swung it and bought one ex-stock to get it quickly. Even if he had got to see it out of his window but alas it wasn't meant to be 😞 I still have it 9 years later.
  17. It was nearly 9 years ago now for my old man - he was the reason I bought my Jag as he had one when he met my mother and is one of my first memories (he was my step-dad) - I picked it up on the Monday and he passed on the Wednesday - he didn't get a chance to see it as that week it was my brother who was staying there as we took it in alternate weeks as I worked away.
  18. Took my Dad and my wife's very good friend - went to the latter's wedding and funeral in the same month - heartbreaking 😞
  19. Just had a young Jay in the garden just 5 minutes ago
  20. I bet his mother will give him one as well for losing
  21. They guy was a giant - in more ways than one - awesome voice My S-I-L met him a few years ago when he just walked in off the street for a Costa in Chester - she served him. By her account he was a very down to earth bloke
  22. I have a hypothesis- New Labour was dressed in Blue and stole the centre ground from Cons. The current Cons are dressed in red and are taking left ground away from labour -because they broke the red wall with Brexit and they see taking the left as a way of keeping the red seats
  23. People are totally unaware that the "Nazi Party" actually started off as a socialist party
