  1. very nice they are superb rifles had one a couple of years ago and highly recommend them, not very good for garden plinking.... they are just too accurate i used to hit a drawing pin every time at 25 yards and put all 10 shots in a 5 pence piece! have fun and enjoy it
  2. yeah shame about the maxus they are nice and can fit really well with the spacers, good luck with the O/U should swing a bit smoother on clays with the extra barrel and at least its firing both of them!
  3. Hi and welcome from just down the road
  4. silly questions but.... i take it the gun is cycling the second shot properly with the bolt/breach fully closed and locked, also how are you loading it? I have a composite sporting maxus and it has never once played up normally clean it every 500 or so shells also remove the trigger group and brush every couple of thousand only time it has played up is with 21g and that is a cycling issue, but only stick 28g for clays or 30 -32g for pigeons through it normally
  5. Hi Andy Crow has a recent video on youtube on maize, never done it but heard it can be good shooting aslong as all the cover blocks arent topped at once if they are you need put up rope bangers or cover all areas with shooters to keep them moving
  6. yep BASC or CPSA membership is a must for the insurance cover, its an extra cost but for piece of mind its worth it, I read both Will's Pigeon Shooting and The Pigeon Shooter over christmas (both were presents from santa) if i had to choose just one it would be Will Garfit its a alot better imho also remember reading a book called 'how to shoot' (i think) way back in my teens and it taught me alot about clays
