  1. A400 trigger is poo compared to the AL391 and A303. One of the reasons I off’d my Multitarget. Briley in the states do a modified trigger that is meant to be miles ahead of the standard affair.
  2. It’ll be the cartridge latch that releases the carts from the magazine. It’ll need tweaking outward (away from the receiver wall) so that it holds the carts in the magazine. Due to stiff loadingin the M2, a lot of people tweak the latch to make inserting carts into the magazine easier as from the factory they can be stiff to load. If you tweak em too far it’ll release carts at the wrong time or too many at once. ask me how i know.........
  3. Bps don’t slam fire unfortunately.........
  4. Yep, that’s a heavy duck right there. Proper pieces of kit. Have one here, of 1960s vintage. Winchester reportedly only ever made 30,000 of the heavy ducks so they are reasonably rare. its taken me 4 years of serious searching to fine a nice one. How does it perform? Even with a proper recoil pad they have a very short LOP. Designed for the American duck blind where you’d most likely have a number of layers on and a thick jacket. Must say between the 870, M37, BPS, mod 12 and the 1987. The Winchester’s win on build quality. However the M37 wins on slickness of cycling.
  5. Have a look see. Its the correct stock and forend for the age and spec of heavy duck. Just missing the original red recoil pad. Should be a 30” or 32” barrel. Other way to tell is does it have a slug of lead in the stock that you can see with recoil pad removed and does the cartridge lifter have a metal spring loaded plate attached to the rh side?
  6. Winchester didn’t officially make a 3” model 12 that wasn’t a heavy duck. They did offer to convert 2 3/4 into 3” in the late 30s-40s. What does it say on the right hand side of the barrel next to where the choke marking is?? “superspeed and super x” by any chance??
  7. Benellis should cycle 100%. Mine have. Any Benelli that isn’t flawless needs sending back.

    Wasp sting

Got stung between the middle two fingers on my right hand as a 5 year old : You know the fleshy bit at the base of the fingers. Was climbing into a paddling pool and the ****** was hiding under the lip of the pool where I put my hand to hold on. Fast forward 20 years, clearing up some fallen apples off the lawn and bam. Another sting in exactly the same place as the one from years ago. Horrible little *******!
  11. Another shout out for Dan.
  12. As above. If anything less than 100%, get it sent back.
