I was asking the seller what grade the gun was. I didn’t realise that Q had already been asked in the post prior to mine. PS it’s not just the wood grade. The action and metal work has very different engraving between GD1 and GD5.

Does anyone know of an importer of the SPS recoil systems? I am looking at replacing the spring with a one that has a higher compression rating. I tried emailing SPS in USA but the email isn’t working.

Since buying an MK38 my trusty 682 Gold E doesn’t get used much these days. Here is the info: 32” optima bore barrels (18.6) Clean bores Adjustable comb 14.75” LOP (depending on trigger blade position) Used but fair condition Nice wood grain that has been re-chequered. A few marks on it from field use. The stock had a hairline crack beside the tang (see photos) that was repaired when I bought the gun over 2.5 years ago and hasn’t altered so is secure. I’ve shot lots of Pigeon Extreme 34g 5’s so it has been tested. Serviced probably 750 shots ago which included: new locking U-bolt, new hinge pins (trunnions) and a new bottom firing pin. Safety has been fettled to operate very smoothly (as that’s a gripe of mine). The action is tight (top lever off the right when locked in) and barrels lock up securely onto the face. Perfectly balanced on the hinge pins so handles fast yet has legendary point-ability. Cased with a total of 6 chokes and a choke wrench. 4 of the chokes are extended: skeet, IC, 1/2 and 3/4. 2 x flush chokes: 1/2 and 3/4 Can be sent to your local RFD for £25. £850

Thanks man. I have kept the gun for last 18 months without using it as I do like having it but use my MK38 for all shoots now. It’s not viable hanging onto it although I do doubt if letting it go is the right move🤣
