Hey Evo, wood stock for sure but I've refinished it once and don't want to be doing it every few months as it's a working gun. Maybe if I ever retire it I'll put the wood back on and remove the main spring and mount it on the wall

When I applied for my section 1 and 2 I had to get a detailed letter from my GP due to health issues, Staffs police told me any and all costs where my responsibility. I have a very good patient Doctor relationship so he didn't charge me even though the notice in reception says any GP letters cost £75. I explained what I needed and shown him my paperwork I then asked if he was in a good mood and could I have any discount, his response was usual for my GP ' Jason your a cheeky **** ' but it worked. Moral of my wittering's if you don't ask you will never know.

I feel your pain I've size 13 feet and 20" calls so need 21"
I bought some Aigle parcours without neoprene and the side gusset. I can wear them but tight, you would need the side zip.
Other boots I wear are Harkila Estate boots 17" high, they have a gusset on the side but a zip at the back that only goes down so far but would allow for calfs of your size. Somewhere like Uttings or Sportsmans Gun Centre have them on offer.
Stay away from Grubbs or Muckboots as its like having your leg in an elastic band.
Thanks a lot figgy
Buddy hell, has it got muddy at the bottom of the bean stalk?
Errr yeah I blame the rain somewhat ;-)

When a old family friend passed who ran the local rifle club the police had his safes open on the same day. As for mine my mate is a RFD and I've asked him to get the rifles and shotguns out the day I go pop bang wizz.

So after a good afternoon out shooting yesterday I got home had started to clean my rifle and shotgun when I noticed the gas o-ring on my Hatsan Escort was in a very bad state. I always carry a few in my kit just in case one was to fail while out and about. Moral of the story is don't let a 50 pence bit of rubber spoil your day out shooting.
