  1. One of the lads who comes up to our duck club clay shoot has one got to handle it not shooting thou nice looking gun but not my cup of tea il stick to my side by side ๐Ÿ‘He did have problems with safety at the clay shoot To me it felt to light Talking to a gun dealer they told me lot people who bought them have been trading them back in
  2. Agree with your outlook 100 percent pay for what you enjoy ๐Ÿ‘I like most wildfowlers will not be too bothered by the lead phase out as Iโ€™ve been using steel for years using numerous shotguns with different chokes On waterfowl and pigeons and crows
  3. Yes I did read your posts i also have alternative guns for different situations but unless cartridge companies bring out sufficient steel chambered in 2 1/2 loads as I posted with the lead ban coming in Then You might have a problem using your traditional English guns in traditional British game shoots
  4. Well itโ€™s up to cartridge companies to try produce 2 1/2 inch cartridges for steel with the lead ban on the horizon thatโ€™s why I bought a no3 magnum means I can hunt any legal quarry with it in the uk using steel ๐Ÿ‘
  5. Chokes 1/4 1/2 3 inch chamber proofed to 1200 b Should have said its proper aya no3 magnum beaver tail fore end etc Country side alliance done a good video on YouTube Regarding Steel older guns etc well worth a watch for anybody interested ๐Ÿ‘
  6. Think this steel debate will go on as long as shooting exists Me personally Iโ€™ve put standard steel and 3 inch gamebore magnums through my 40 year old aya no3 with no problems Up too any hunter what they thinks best ๐Ÿ‘
  7. Yes I should have said that apologies
  8. Iโ€™m only suggesting if your s/s chambering is 2 3/4 all you have to do is open your choke from full to half you should be able to use standard steel through your gun
  9. You still shot well mate ๐Ÿ‘I actually changed to 1/2 in my beretta semi auto but thinking going bk to 1/4 been using gamebore 3 inch Steel Again great video ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  10. Great video big Al both dogs working brilliant I went out the 1st Saturday September myself to the Big lough weather was very calm Hopefully when the migrants arrive It will pick up Lovely just getting out thanks for posting Side note RC Steel never used them seem to work for you in o/u ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  11. Aya no3 magnum as good as gun for the price as any gun for fowling Think there very underrated Iโ€™ve actually won skeet competitions with it With our wee duck club Nothing serious thou just nice beating some other Fowlerโ€™s who use guns 4 times the price lol ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒIt might be just me nothing better sitting waiting on ducks with a side by side (old romantic at heart โฃ)๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
  12. I agree the aya especially the no3 magnum outstanding guns for waterfowl your correct there not multichoked and not proofed for high performance steel shot but mine opened chokes to 1/2 1/4 Iโ€™ve put numerous 2/34 inch steel cartridges through it and the odd 3 inch gamebore magnum as well with no ill effects These guns for the price would do a Fowlerโ€™ for 90 percent of what There going to hunt ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  13. Thatโ€™s the best outlook to have ๐Ÿ‘
  14. Fantastic looking guns ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

  21. Very good post the same situation happened to me a lot of years ago I was in a small pheasant shoot rearing our own birds doing work days feeding etc I took a bad feeling toward doing all the work for not enough birds being properly hunted I also had a young family with commitments and a job with shift work I ended up packing the pheasant shooting in and just stuck to Duck clubs My wee club (Ducks)a lot more lead back couple workdays fixing hides etc See how you go this season donโ€™t rush into leaving I still get the notion to go out the odd Saturday for walked up pheasants but with me not willing to put the work in thatโ€™s not a possibility now unless I book somewhere Hopefully youโ€™ll enjoy the season ๐Ÿ‘I donโ€™t think age really matters we all get doubtful sometimes
