  1. No worries westley gonna try it 1st on older side by side ๐Ÿ‘
  2. Anyone from the forum used these was thinking of touching up some of my shotgun barrels that have a few scratches here and there seem to get good reviews on net
  3. Cheers ๐Ÿป lads shot the mk38 today at DTL Finished couple birds outside the top 3 very nice shooting gun the trap stock perfect for me being tall sod the trigger pulls weโ€™re great ๐Ÿ˜Š and being multichoked a extra bonus ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  4. Lads just a update the mk38 grade3 was sold I tried the browning pro sport didnโ€™t really get on with it So bought the new mk38 grade 1 trap multichoked very happy ๐Ÿ˜Š
  5. Friend bought one for clays didnโ€™t like the felt recoil he sold it bought miroku grade 5 If you can try get a round of clays with F16 you will know yourself then
  6. Valid point but in my experience Iโ€™ve never had a problem shooting the 22lr in high winds They only downside I see with the 22lr is there more prone to ricocheting But as you said all rimfires have there place Iโ€™m happy just using the 22 hopefully Shawn gets sorted ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  7. No worries westly im gonna shoot both hopefully at the weekend
  8. Westly thanks for the imput me being over 6ft 2 the browning grip fits me better plus it has adjustable stock EXTENDED chokes etc the mk38 grade 3 stock fits me as well but the grip not as pronounced if that makes sense It will mostly be for DTL for out and out clays I have a browning 525 sporter for over the fields The pro trap I wouldnโ€™t want to carry over rough cover or foreshore ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š
  9. Both are 2nd hand about ยฃ700 difference in price the browning comes with all the bells&whistles but have to admit the mk38 lovely bit of wood and ingraving ๐Ÿ‘
  10. Would you not think of going back to the 22lr the reason Iโ€™m asking is I had a 17hmr when they first arrived on these shores and personally I never liked it my personal various reasons due to Lamping in high winds etc and went back to the 22lr
  11. Thanks I usually just use sporters for all my shooting so the browning could possibly be a good option
  12. As Iโ€™m getting older Iโ€™m getting more into clay pigeon shooting Iโ€™m thinking of buying one of the above guns for mainly DTL Wanted to ask forum does any members own one of these models
  13. Yes Scully I should have put high performance steel shot your correct(my fault)to stop โœ‹ the debate from moving away from original post (Trap stock) Iโ€™m going down to my local gun shop over weekend to look at and shoot a mk38 Trap shotgun thanks for the input ๐Ÿ‘
  14. Yep but u canโ€™t really use steel thru a tightly choked trap gun read my previous posts
  15. Westley Itโ€™s DTL Only 1 or 2 shoots a month the reason I posted was I borrowed a friendโ€™s trap gun and my score went up due to the stock being higher on my cheek my browning sporter is all right for game as usually Iโ€™m snap shooting in the duck&pigeon hide It seemed to me I was able to concentrate more using the trap model on the clays as I felt I wasnโ€™t dropping my head lower for my eye to line up with the gun if Iโ€™m explaining this right Iโ€™m certainly thinking now of buying the mk38 keep it just for clays thanks for the reply ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  16. Yes lads think Iโ€™m going to buy a proper trap gun ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  17. Yes good point but to be honest most of my guns arenโ€™t a 100 percent that donโ€™t come up right to my cheek as Iโ€™m a tall *** The reason I keep them is that there multi chokes need them for steel shot (ducks) Most of the trap models Iโ€™ve borrowed to shot are 3/4 Full I think ๐Ÿค” you can get trap guns with multi chokes Iโ€™m just gonna buy a dedicated TRAP model ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Not to mention the amount of money Iโ€™d lost ๐Ÿ˜ž trading the sporter in
  18. Think all said and done by the money I would have to pay for a trap stock Yous are right probably be better buying a trap gun Keep the sporter for game ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  19. Cheers lads I never thought of getting a adjustable stock fitted been on line looking at trap stocks pretty pricey then paying to get it fitted ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  20. Last year I bought a new browning 525 sporter lovely gun but me being a tall sod Iโ€™m finding the stock a bit low when at the clays if that makes sense I recently shot my friends trap stock browning and it felt a lot better Wanted advice can I buy a trap stock and get it fitted to the 525 any suggestions ??
  21. As Iโ€™ve already posted the CZ rifle for the price are fantastic I have 2 22lr 222 rem both wooden stocks (sorry hate plastic)when Iโ€™m Lamping with my friends there using ยฃ1500 plus rifles and my CZ shoots just as well at the foxes The money you will save spend the rest on good scope
  22. CZ CZ CZ Brilliant rifles for the money have 22lr and 222
  23. Maxus Good gun as well big Al RFDs there to make money Glad you got sorted ๐Ÿ‘
