I’ve used no8 shot on crows recently as it’s all I had got a call from farmer to get over till he’s cow sheds outside of course and had no problems as long as the shot was in the right place I was using 1/2 3/4 chokes crows crumpled no problem 😌

Just a UPDATE LADS finally found the steel shot proof marks on my new beretta SP1 sporting after watching Jonny on TGS YouTube channel there on the underside of the bottom barrel that connects into the action Fleur mark and cip/S mark as well could have saved us all lot of bother if I’d cleaned the grease of properly 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️☺️☺️☺️on a side note my scores on DTL Have went up even thou it’s a sporter Thanks ☺️

Agree and disagree don’t think the hunting ban with dogs was the worse thing for foxes as it give the antis more voice to call it a cruel sport with men on horses and packs of dogs tearing a fox apart I agree Lamping NV IS more effective and humane one shot one kill but what I’ve seen fox numbers are still up Land I hunt every time a fox is shot couple of days later a new fox arrives in its territory

Cheers my friend I’ve just ordered optima HP extended choke 1/2 3/4 for the silver pigeon The mk38 shot fine no damage to inside the barrel but as you said in my head the self inflicted mark I put on it I just couldn’t get my feelings back for the gun 😊😊😊

The reason I didn’t check SP1 I was off the opinion that new o/u are all HP steel shot proofed but obviously not that’s why i posted when i couldn’t see the Fleur mark but as you said not a big deal it will shoot standard steel which if I’m after ducks I only use Agree I liked the mk38 but I in my head ruined the gun but each to there Own

My original post regarding the SP1 was that I didn’t see any fleur mark on the new gun i know the Italians use different proof markings ?Nothing to be puzzled bye the mk38 barrel was damaged by that pen Yes could have payed to get it blued but As I’ve mentioned the money it was costing better to buy a new gun I also never stated that I’d be using theMK38 trap 1 for steel shot so don’t really understand your desirability remark The reason I bought the beretta was I liked the gun felt lovely in my hand with optima HP chokes great packageNo need to tell me what chokes to use for standard steel or HP AS I’ve been shooting wildfowl for years thru guns nearly 50 years old So il make my point Again the original post was Fleur mark on Beretta barrels That’s all 👍

Yes I think it is reading up on it as well as the optima chokes that come with the gun points to superior steel prove unless I’m mistaken Which hasn’t been a first 😃 No worries mate hoping Sunday be taking it out for Clays 👍

Just found the mark on SP1 in the bottom of the action CIP S so superior steel shot proofed

First off all the new MK38 had steel proof markings 2nd I didn’t really lose that much money on the trade in 3rd the price and time I would have to endure for re bluing It made more sense to put it towards a brand new gun I regret using the the blueing pen But the barrel looked terrible It’s a lesson learned Have ? U any information on this Post what I originally ASKED????? Choking is optima chokes They do have markings on them regarding if you can use steel 5 in total But I can’t see any fleur marking on the barrels Yes brand new but I thought maybe wrongly that all new berettas were steel shot proofed
