  1. A lot of the motability vehicles seem to be electric now.
  2. Thanks, we'll get there in the end 👍
  3. Finally got through to them this morning but not much help! Looks like the email complaint route is the next step. Thanks for all your suggestions, much appreciated 🙂
  4. You're not wrong, we've not bothered for ages due to bad attitudes but this is my son I'm taking on. He's worked with us during school holidays for the past few years and loves it. We'll see how he gets on 😀
  5. We’re taking on an apprentice in August so I’ve been working with the college to set everything up. Everything was going smoothly until I had to make a simple phone call to let HMRC know what we’re doing as you apparently can’t just add an apprentice to the payroll until you’ve made HMRC aware. Something to do with the funding for college. Many hours have been wasted today ringing the HMRC “Employers Helpline” I’ve tried, the accountant’s tried and both failed. You ring a number and get through to a computer voice which asks you a few questions (after telling you that due to industrial action calls are taking longer than an hour to be dealt with) It then tells you that your call will be answered asap. After waiting around 10 – 30 minutes the computer comes back on to tell you everyone is busy, then terminates the call! 😂 I wish they were as efficient at answering calls as they are at collecting money. Any ideas anyone?
  6. Is the pipework concealed? Ours was and must have been leaking for ages behind the tiles before it became apparent.
  7. No idea. We live not far from where she's gone missing and hear all sorts of theories. Just hope she's found somewhere.
  8. It was found running between the bench and the gate.
  9. Don't be silly! Everyone knows that badminton rackets are better much better for that.
  10. Probably still sanding! 😁
  11. I personally know four people who have had heart attacks or strokes within weeks of having the vaccine. A close friend had it to go on holiday and died within two weeks, he was 49, slim and fit with no history of heart trouble. A family member aged early 40s with no history. A neighbour had a stroke within weeks of taking it and a bloke from my wholesaler dropped dead whilst walking his dog. As far as I know, none of them have been officially attributed to the vaccine.
  12. Just treat the ammo as you would with non FAC. It doesn't get recorded on your ticket and you don't need your FAC to buy it.
  13. Openreach damaged my garden wall and tried every trick in the book to avoid paying for the damage. I got three quotes, picked the middle one and ended up doing an online small claims. They paid up in full including the costs the week before it was due in court. Never give up!
  14. I have a 28 ft lb .25 springer which I tend to use more than my 50 ft lb Ripley XL9 because it's more fun!

    Guarantees

We test and maintain the electrics on almost 2000 social housing properties. We replace quite a few detectors were the 10 year lithium battery has failed well within time. Certain brands seem to be better than others.
  16. We have a local road that often floods after heavy rain. At least two or three cars always end up with wrecked engines after trying to get through. I was just wondering how an electric car would go on.
  17. I have to confess that I own a .25 28 ft lb Patriot and actually like it! It's a older british made one. Must admit that my left bicep is bigger than my right when I've spent a few hours out with it 😁
  18. I've given up trying to sell on eBay anymore. "sorry my 4 year old son pressed buy it now before I could stop him" "sorry, I hadn't realised how far away you were when I bid" "please cancel my winning bid, sorry about that" etc, etc, etc
  19. An asprin! I wouldn't even be able to hit the green at that range 🤣

    Sheds

Anyone got any advice on the cheapest way to build a 30 square mt shed? Needs to look decent as it will be on view at the bottom of the garden.
  21. We have a Stihl 4 mix. A 4 stroke that thinks it's a 2 stroke. Uses an fuel/oil mix.
  22. I got a Webley Hawk out of my mum's catalogue and if my memory serves me right you could also buy shotguns! Happy days.
  23. Took it out this morning instead of my XL9. Much more fun! 28 ft lbs and open sights. My arms ache now though 😀
