  7. my shooting pal popped in early yesterday morning , to arrange a day on the barley stubble on my shoot. Literally over the fence of my garden. I said I had seen a few odd ones flitting about but no real numbers, as it had only harvested two days before. As we chatted I said,, come on lets walk over and have a look. I grabbed a couple of auto's out of the cabinet, put 4 boxes of cartridges in my bag plus 6 shell decoys, and walked the 300 yards or so to the barns [on the hill]. we set up in about 3 minutes flat and waited for the fist one to come in, in two hours we were done. with 44 birds on the deck. Considering we went for a recon. we were both surprised and walked back grinning from ear to ear. What great sport. I love pigeon shooting.
  8. was it an old army kit bag you were looking for? about 3ft long and about12inches in diameter?
  9. Mine was a brand new browning silver hunter 3shot auto. first time out it wouldn't cycle, even with 32 gr. And it [me] was so inconsistent , I even took 19mm off of the stock which made it better. but in the end I sold and did not regret it .I brought a brand new Beretta Extrema 2. I LOVE IT....
  10. Am I missing the point here? A broken shotgun with cartridges in. ?? A rifle with bolt removed . but magazine in and rounds in,, ABSOLUTLY NOT !!!!!!!!!!
  11. I have had the mk1 and the mk2. and there isn't any real difference in performance/reliability mine served me well for twenty years. But for no other reason than looks, I preferred the mk1.
  12. Hi joejoe. Have a word with wabbitbosher. he has a good selection of spares. He got me a trigger mechanism for my 1500xtr when I couldn't locate a carriage spring for mine. He is good and very helpful. good luck my friend.
