  1. Have you ever done this job, been in a similar situation? What qualifies you to make such an asinine comment regarding the need for the officers requiring further training?
  2. Don't forget Woodcock are waders therefore non-toxic shot only.
  3. Hotterdog are good. Come from the same people as Equafleece but are a bit cheaper.
  4. I sometimes read this forum but very rarely post on it for the same reason as the OP. Somebody has taken the time to make a post regarding something he personally witnessed only to get back a lot of negative comments and sarcasm (very much the lowest form of wit) and assumptions regarding his mate. For example: Quote “a future gold medalist at the olympics” Is he going to be in the Olympics then? Where did that one come from? Nobody but the person in question knows what the “aim point” used was. He may have said 120 yards as the distance to the target but perhaps he gave it 150 or 175 on the ‘scope. Why shouldn’t “bulk .22LR ammunition" be consistent? Or at least consistent enough to make little or no measurable difference to us average shooters? I accept that there will be those who can detect miniscule changes and compensate for them as second nature but they are the gifted few. Did the OP ever mention the fact his mate is a novice? He may well be a very experienced shot coming back into rifles after a lay-off. Having had his FAC for one month does not mean he doesn’t possess a wealth of experience. Why should you have to able to consistently hit a target the size of a 10p piece before shooting Rabbits? A Rabbit is a far bigger target at any range than a 10p piece and it doesn’t have to be a head shot to result in clean kill. What FEO would be in the slightest bit interested in the subject matter of this post? What reason is there to be? Where is the mention of “hard frozen ground” in post To conclude that it must been a ricochet that hit the Rabbit is utterly stupid and completely without foundation, based on nothing but ignorance of the facts. Incidentally facts nobody else but the OP and his mate are fully aware of. A .22LR set-up cannot put shot on shot at 50 yards? Really? Can that be backed up with hard facts? Those incredibly expensive target rifles must be a right old waste of money then! As it happens it looks like pretty good shooting to me. It wasn’t just one longish shot but three. Seems fairly consistent I’d say. That’s not to say that a little bit of luck doesn’t enter into it. How many can honestly say that they rely solely on their skill as a shooter and never does luck play any part? The OP and his mate can consider themselves truly blessed to be told the error of their ways by the PW Gods. Those who not having the facts just make it up, those who know more than the rest of mere mortals put together, those who are whiter than white, those who are legends in their own lunchtimes, etc, etc. However, it’s nice to see the positive posts on here. Just a pity some others seem to have a need to belittle the views and achievements of others…
  5. I've got a Beko dishwasher. Whilst it hasn't yet caught fire it is most utterly useless piece of junk I've ever bought. Nearly everything comes out of it needing further washing and I've tried every which way of loading it and virtually every combination of separate cleaning agents and all-in-one tablets all to no avail. It also piddles water over the floor and makes a right racket. It is poor quality in terms of fitness for purpose and build quality. Never, ever will I again look at any Beko product and I'd advise others not to bother either.
  6. The Clumber didn't look much of worker to me. My two working Clumbers are much more lightly built and a sight more handsome. The show variety just doesn't do it for me.
  7. Trico EX354 is an exact fit for the rear of the D2. However, I'm sure there will be some others along in a while to tell just how bad a truck the disco is even though you are only asking about a wiper blade!!!!!!
  8. You ARE permitted to purchase cartridges on a section 7. How do I know? I was automatically issued two S7 before I got SGC my renewal. It only took 10 months...

The scruffy slob stood out like a sore thumb. I don't think he knows the meaning of the word respect.
  10. Army issue ECW (Extreme Cold Weather) socks are by far the best I've ever used. Warm, comfy and hard wearing plus they're cheap. Only drawback is they're cream/white and end up looking a bit grubby fairly quickly.
  11. I'd happily recommend R-Tech. I've got the 180amp inverter set and it's a very good bit of kit. Done loads of work on the farm machinery and it copes brilliantly. Very good company to deal with as well.
  12. Agree about not buying a cheapie. I'd recommend one of the R-Tech range. Very good bits of kit at not too much money. Very good company to deal with as well. I've got the 180amp inverter set and it's very easy to use and gives very good results. It will work with gas or gasless with the correct wire and polarity change. Can also be used as an MMA or TIG set with right handset. I'm a fairly experienced DIY welder but this set certainly isn't beyond the scope of a novice either.
  13. Had only two responses here in Essex. One isn't actually standing as a candidate and the other (Lib Dem) couldn't really be bothered with an answer. Instead he referred me to his "blog" whatever that may be. That word does not exist as far as I'm concerned. I do not "do" blogs, Facetube or Twotter or any of the so - called social media. Why can't people just communicate in a normal, intelligent manner? If the others can't be bothered then nor can I. I will attend my local polling station but I will deliberately return a spoiled paper. All waste time, effort and money really...
  14. Getting wound up over reaching 50? Consider youself fortunate; reaching middle age has it's advantages, believe me! Mortgage paid off at 54, now 56 and I retire next Friday! Best decade of my life so far...
  15. I've got General Grabber AT (not the AT2) on my D2. Very good both on and off road. Very happy with them.
