Hi all,Up for sale is my Stihl BT131 earth auger. Excellent condition, around a year old and well looked after. Obviously bears some signs of use but nothing is broken, damaged, etc. I've used it for stock fencing and hedge planting jobs.Comes with three different augers (65mm, 90mm and 150mm) all approx 650mm length.The 65mm is ideal for piloting 3-4 inch stock fence posts in firm ground.The 90mm I've used for piloting 4-5inch rounds prior to driving.The 150mm is a good size for planting and also for setting square posts. Makes a good starter for digging out a larger hole as well.Don't confuse with the Chinese tat, this is a well designed and well built product that works! Has a safety brake which prevents twisting should the auger catch on something.Only selling as I'm now going employed for a company and won't need so much of my own kit. Too valuable to sit around gathering dust!£550 to include all three augers and the engine unit. Owners manual, etc also included. This is a Nugent trailer, 2700kg max gross weight, on twin axles. It has removable high mesh sides above the standard drop sides (also removable to make a full flat bed) and a checker plate floor. 5 good tyres (4+spare), lights all in working order, brakes good, jockey wheel good.Will be available early April as I do have one or two jobs to complete first. £2400. Sounds about perfect to me. I came into shooting firstly as a deer stalker and that's still my biggest interest but with no deer to speak of on my little bit of ground it's an expensive hobby. Anyway, I've been out plenty of times with the rifle, up at daft o-clock into the cold and not seen hide nor hair of deer. Never stops me going back. Likewise with fly fishing, I used to get out with my dad and we'd have days where you didn't touch a fish, but that makes the days when you get a few all the better.

Yes, I imagine learning the ground is hugely important for safety and also for any hope of being in the right place at the right time for a shot at something. As for the dog, I've never asked her to do anything like that so it's a bit of an unknown. But I don't imagine I'll be getting out by myself for a couple of years at least, by which time she might be showing her age a bit and not up for sitting out in the cold. In which case I'll have the perfect excuse for adding another dog to the family!

Hi all, Looking to join a stalking syndicate in England (or Wales?) as Scotland is just too far to justify unfortunately. Have DSC1, open FAC, insurance, etc. I'm looking for recreational stalking/management, not just to whack anything that moves. If you happen to have such a holy grail, please get in touch.

Hi all So I've been interested in the idea of wildfowling for a long while, and I'm very seriously considering joining (at least the waiting list) for the GWCA. I was just wondering what fowling is "like" on the Severn specifically in terms of the quarry, the terrain, etc. And more generally aside from trawling the Internet are there any good books on the subject of wildfowling? Golden rules for fowlers? Must-have gear? (real must-haves, not just fancy stuff from magazine adverts!)

Hi folks, I realised quite depressingly that for one reason and another I haven't looked through my rifle scope at a deer in over two years! So, if anybody has or knows of stalking opportunities within an hour-ish of Worcester (or further afield if its a lease/syndicate) I'd be glad to hear about it.

Hi all, I had to take last season "off" due to changing work demands, etc. but I'm now looking to join a friendly rough/walked up DIY syndicate somewhere in Worcestershire/Shropshire or nearby... Shooting Saturdays or weekdays (but not Monday or Tuesday) would be ideal. I have insurance, etc. Also a qualified and experienced chainsaw operator, and work on a farm, so willing and able to do upkeep around the shoot and happy to get stuck in with work parties and keepering, etc. Please get in touch if you have or know of anything. Hi all, I'm looking for a new truck. Navara (post 2010 facelift preferable) L200 or Isuzu. Must be clean and tidy, sub or close to 100k miles. Not interested in anything that's been messed with, abused, parked in the sea, etc. This will be my work and shooting vehicle and the family car so must be clean and tidy internally, the bigger spec the better. Budget is up to 8k, I have seen excellent trucks go for that sort of money recently (in fact I missed out on one which is why I'm now placing this ad.) I've given up looking on ebay as its hard to navigate the sea of sellers who think that book price, plus a grand, plus VAT is a good deal. If you're an honest person with an honest truck to sell, please let me know.

I'm waiting for the firm to get back to me about that one, it's about 3 hours away, still half as far as Southern Scotland!

A very long shot, I know. I am looking for stalking in England or Wales (I.e. Not Scotland) on a syndicate basis or as a paying additional stalker. I am interested in proper management and have no real interest in trophies, etc, although I do like to see good quality animals. I am just as willing to get out on a miserable January morning to cull a suitable doe as I am on a warm summers evening looking for a buck. Squeezing the trigger on anything that moves isn't my cup of tea, and I wouldn't be comfortable overshooting where it isn't necessary. I have DSC1, insurance, BDS and BASC member, open certificate. I have chainsaw certificates (and experience) if there is any maintenance etc to be done. If you are a game syndicate with deer present on the shoot I would be happy to pay a fee and also attend work parties for the syndicate, feeding, etc, but would not ask to attend shoot days. I would, of course, be sympathetic to the birds when stalking in and around the season, and "look after" any foxes encountered whilst out with the rifle! Anywhere outside of Scotland considered. I am a genuine person and this is a genuine advert, I have money waiting for time right opportunity. Regards Simon

Thanks, I'm after black really but would consider camo. Looking at your location though if your mate is nearby you it's a bit far. Should have said really, I don't mind travelling a bit to collect but prefer not to transfer.

If you have a genuine concern that somebody is attempting to obtain a firearm or shotgun illegally then you really ought to call the police and report it. I can't believe anybody would just let it slide thinking "not my problem".

Bit of googling suggests very likely the clock spring cable, which can fail on any number of its many connections. I also noticed today through experimentation that truning the wheel to certain positions would make the faulty buttons work again, which would explain why the airbag light comes on seemingly at random (I guess after rotating the wheel a certain amount in the right direction)

Hi all, Been having a problem with my Xtrail for a while now. The airbag light remains on after starting and flashes constantly, there's a reset using rhythmic turns on/off of the ignition which works initially, but after a few journeys the light comes back on. Had a local garage look at it the other day and he said likely to be a connector under the seat, which he cleaned (no charge). Light back on a couple of days later. Now... A long while prior to the first appearance of the airbag light I noticed that the stereo controls on the steering wheel weren't working. I find they're in the wrong place anyway and so I never use them and ignored it. The cruise control buttons (opposite side of wheel) do work, as does the horn. Do you think it's likely to be the clock spring? I was under the impression that the horn and other steering-wheel controls would ALL fail in that case, but I'm basing that on uneducated assumption rather than knowledge!

I'm getting about 37 out of mine according to the dash display. That's on AT tyres and mostly round lanes and B roads with a fairly heavy foot. Stick cruise control on 70 on the motorway and it'll go up beyond 50mpg

A 2007 could be either the older T30 or the 2007-2014 T31. I have a T31, which is excellent. Fantastic on-road drive, capable off road, huge boot. Bags of power and pretty much every conceivable toy. I can't speak for the T30, I hear they're good cars but they don't share much apart from the name in engineering terms.

Have a look on Google/eBay for Diver Dave. Better than anything else I've tried, and having worked in the trade for a while I've tried a lot! Really effective and seems to last more than one or two uses before it needs doing again.
