  1. How strange, swap a few of those words around a bit , and it virtually describes to a tee the EU s CAP system 🤣
  2. Im sure I read some labour policy of minimum £20 an hour wage ! Couldnt agree more, so lets elect a government thats going to do that, good luck. Because if you think labour are going to right the wrongs, well , weve had labour governments on a regular basis, and guess what ? Theyve never done it. And thats because they will say ANYTHING to get elected, and then pretty much carry on the status quo, and the system wins EVERY time. At least the tories tell you straight , 'we will help the rich more than the poor, but the rich need the poor to work for them, so it wont be too bad'. See this 14 million in poverty thing for what it is , a sound bite, politically driven to cause division ,at a time when we need unity.
  3. And why would you ? Presuming they left you in one piece, how would you feel if your gun was then used to murder someone, a family perhaps ? You can be fairly certain the type of person who demands a firearm with menace, isnt just interested in the peaceful pursuit of target sports can you ? No one wants to say in specific terms what they would do to prevent the theft of the gun(s) for fear of possible repercussions. But for the 3 rd and last time, they would not be acquiring mine, anybody who would hand it over without a fight needs their head testing.
  4. Obviously ! Some people need to get a grip, just because you cant have the things you WANT because you cant AFFORD them does not a poor person make !
  5. No ,no, no , she wants to live in Bromley, and if she cant afford to live in Bromley because, between her and her new husbands wages (which , in the example were completely ignored for some reason) are not sufficient to buy the property they WANT, then obviously someone else needs to pay the difference. This can either be achieved by robbing the rich to subsidise the poor, or the more likely scenario of robbing the poor to subsidise the , errr.. poor. Then everyones a winner..NOT.
  6. Dob in his boss ? Believe it or not, there are still a scattered few people in society who have a conscience and a sense of right and wrong. The police would not have questioned him directly , because he was not in the picture. She claimed in writing that she was not driving the car, (in legal terms this is called making a false instrument, another thing she should be on trial for) so why would the police want to question Mr Defeo. I know what youre thinking, why did he wait till the trial was half way through ? He surely must have known what was happening ? Well, where did YOU hear about it ? Its hardly been front page news, until well after the trial started, its STILL not really front page news, despite the imminent jailing of a front bench labour MP, a little like Ms Osamors sons trial and resultant furore. Strange that.
  7. You are not right though are you ? You are using a Mirror link that has been quoted from the trade journal that says- "Are UK road users being put at risk by cheap mislabelled foreign-made tyres? Labels on new tyres are supposed to give performance in three areas - stopping power in the wet, noise, and fuel efficiency. I told in July how the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency could not say if it had carried out any tests to see if the claims on the labels were accurate. Unite The Union warned at the time that potentially mislabelled tyres, mainly from Asian manufacturers, were placing motorists' lives in danger. Now it turns out that the DVSA inspected four retailers in the last financial year and found “varying degrees” of incorrect labelling. I've asked for specific details of how the labels were inaccurate and am still waiting for an answer." You have somehow translated this into 'budget tyres are dangerous ! Millions of UK motorists are driving around on budget tyres, Im surprised there isnt carnage due to this
  8. I've lived on a lot less I can assure you, and recently too.
  9. They've put it down in black and white, take home pay less than £300 a week and you live in poverty, simples 😂 I'm surprised the figures not closer to £30 million.
  10. Media hype. These supposed 14 million people have been in 'poverty' for some time I suppose ? Funny how it's suddenly come to the attention of certain agencies.
  11. But they would have to travel to Eire first, they could stow away, but its not like jumping on a lorry through the chunnel. Plus , its about time they started getting sent back to the last safe departure, ie France, they are illegal immigrants , not refugees if they go to these lengths. If we started sending them to France, France would start sending them somewhere too, I think Merkels still looking for people to pay her pension
  12. Theyll all just have to learn to get along wont they ? Like they used to back in the 70s and 80s ?
  13. If that goes according to plan thats great. If it goes wrong , you get beaten to death with your own gun in a lonely field somewhere. No thank you. You have the right to defend yourself, and others, using reasonable force, if you believe the person trying to remove the gun from your possession is going to cause death or injury to yourself or others , using said gun, then its your civic duty 🙂 to prevent this from happening. If that means losing your ticket, then at least your conscience is clear 😉
  14. The refugee NGO ships have been rumbled for the time being, he literally cast them adrift when it became obvious who was financing them. But..but ..the EU said its imperative to preserve the good friday agreement ?? If Ireland reunifies , much to the disgust of the Unionists, what becomes of it then ? If you dont know the answer to that question, youre not paying attention.
  15. So UK median income at £27300 , thats net, 54 % of that is nearly £15,000, or £288 per week , is that poverty ? It might be if you spend more than you earn, or have an expensive habit, eat takeaways every night ,rather than cook a cheap meal. Have a car you cant afford, or simply buy luxury items because you cant help yourself. The report from both sources take no consideration of the lifestyle of these 14 million people. But I can assure you that plenty of people live on less, and live very well.
  16. It was bound to happen sooner or later I actually agree with you, most of the time..
  17. Then watch the north descend into sectarian violence, the resurgence of all factions, weapons dug up , multiple atrocities and death ,creating an economic basket case both sides of the border, Blame the British and Brexit, large economic aid package from the UK , and UN peacekeepers to keep them apart, fences and wall again. Sorted.
  18. Did you miss the bit where I said, if theres no problem now, why would there be a problem then ? How many illegal immigrants have been known to get into the UK via Eire, hardly any .
  19. Damn straight. He comes over here on some politically motivated 'mission' from the UN from Australia, spends 12 whole days here on an all expenses paid trip to find a pre determind bunch of facts , that just happen to mirror the findings of our own recently published think tank report. Ooh let me see, hes a 'professor ? Of what , UK poverty ? No law. "Alston also directed a project funded by the European Commission, which resulted in the publication of a Human Rights Agenda for the European Union for the Year 2000 and a 1999 volume of essays (The European Union and Human Rights). Many of its recommendations were subsequently implemented by the European Commission and the European Council. He also is one of 29 signatories to the Yogyakarta Principles" Now maybe Im being a little overly suspicious, but does he have an agenda that actually has nothing to do with poverty, more media sensationalism to prove how bad the UK is doing overall ? Put it this way, whilst he could be dealing with real poverty in some African , South American or Middle Eastern country, hes decided to target one of the poorest countries in the world...err the UK . Says it all really. He spends 12 days, Ive spent 50 years here , case closed
  20. They are not though are they, its in a trade journal. If they wanted to make the general public aware, it should be on Watchdog, or some other public media. I wouldnt be doing that with the best tyres money can buy ! At the end of the day , very few accidents are caused by defective tyres. Most are caused by driver error, or people that have far too much faith in their vehicle and its capabilities.
  21. "Philip Alston, special rapporteur on extreme poverty, said despite being in the one of the world's richest countries he had encountered "misery". A fifth of the population, amounting to 14m people, are living in poverty and levels of child poverty are "staggering", the Australian said." During his 12 day tour he interviewed and inspected the hovels of ALL 14 million of the poverty stricken wretches. Shared in their meagre rations of chicken nuggets and full fat coke. Some still only had 40 inch TVs and drove vehicles of up to 5 years old ! 'I dont know how you live like this' he told Stacey, 21 and a mother of 7 . 'Theres nothing I can do' she replied, 'Until I get my weight down to 25 stone, I cant get a gastric band on the NHS, Im starving ! '
  22. 😂 In your experience Gordon, what should she be looking at ? Ive see 18 months handed out for stuff like this, and thats not an Old Bailey trial either.
  23. Oh OK then, there IS poverty in the UK. Who said there wasnt ? But are there 14 million people in poverty ? Thats the question. Of course theres poverty in this country, you can barely walk through a city street and not see someone sleeping rough/begging. Ive seen people begging in every big city in every country Ive ever been to, Ive seen people dressed better than me with nice hair and manicured nails begging. Ive seen people with arms and legs missing, lying in a gutter begging. Ive seen people with nothing, with smiling faces and the dignity not to ask for charity. But for the UN to get on the case, when there are wars , famine and misery in the less prosperous parts of the world, and for people to give them airtime, is totally and utterly pathetic. They are a political organisation who bury there head in the sand when it suits them, and spring out of hiding when an easy target is presented, as in this case.
  24. Doesnt look like there'll be a verdict today , at last check 3 pm , they were still swearing in witness's ,Im sure they pack up around 4. https://www.thelawpages.com/court-hearings-lists/Central-Criminal-Court.php
