  1. I quite like the Aldi chip shop curry powder, to me it tastes very much like the chippy curry sauce when mixed to the correct viscosity but only on the chips not on the fish.
  2. Absolutely loved this programme, very well written and acted, even making me think of getting a detector esp as the brother in law found gold with his last week, no idea if he did the dance though.
  3. One tip I was given that seems to work well is to tap the end of the nails with a hammer to take the edge off them, the wood does not seem to split so easy. I tried it in similar situation and it worked pretty well.
  4. One old boy I know puts a bit of jam on the trap, works a treat.
  5. Yes times are hard. Hehe
  6. Just thought I would say how impressed I am with the tower customer services, we have a 9litre dual draw fryer and a little while back one of the draws started giving a E1 error and cutting out, so took a photo of it and emailed Tower with attached photo and copy of receipt and warranty ID, auot reply said allow five days for reply due to busy customer services, no problem I thought, five day later email back saying please stop using fryer and cut the lead off 1cm from machine and send photo to Tower and they will send a new fryer. Sure enough less than 36hrs a new fryer is on the doorstep. Very pleased with there response no fuss and no delay except the five days at the start and I was informed they were very busy so no issue. And sausage for dinner last night.
  7. I bought a nighthawk on for a few quid and filled it with kitty litter, does the job. Oh nighthawk also sell these rests https://www.nitehawkproducts.co.uk/99994-nitehawk-rifle-bench-shooting-rest.html with slight modification the the stock end work well, used with .243/.223 cal.
  8. Just watched anvil firing on Youtube, love it.
  9. We have been eating the Morrisons version, very nice and like you said the ginger kick is tasty. Tip don't keep them in a biscuit tin with other biscuits as after time the other biscuits will have a hint of ginger about them, the custard creams didn't play well with them. 😁
  10. You could be right, the bird looked to me to be landing on the tree stump but could be a lot closer to the camera, which would make it smaller than I first thought and possibly a female redstart.
  11. Thanks guys, the wing colour confused me somewhat.
  12. Hello, had a trail cam out on a fence post in the Monmouthshire countryside and got some nice shots of the local redstart family with guest appearances from the inquisitive cattle but I have noticed what looks like a bird of prey about to land on a tree stump in the near background, the camera is set to take two photos and a 10 second video, the video shows nothing but the first picture shows the bird about to land and you can see a bird shadow on the lower left, second picture the bird is gone. Any idea what the bird is? First picture below First picture zoomed in. Second photo, showing the bird has flown.
  13. Have a look at the Vortex bino's very good for the money and a lifetime warranty, I got a pair of the diamondback 10x50 and they are very clear. Also read reviews before I bought mine and people say how good they are at honouring the warranty which is reassuring. Bought mine from Optics Warehouse.
  14. The filling is below, but I did cheat and use bought pastry as the amount of butter and time I would of used to make the puff pastry, the shop pastry is good value. Next time I make it I will half the stock. 6 chicken thighs, skinless and boneless 1 tbsp plain flour 1 tbsp vegetable oil 2 onions, quartered and sliced 1 leek, cut in half lengthways and sliced 250g/9oz chestnut mushrooms, cut into quarters 75g/2½oz unsalted butter 75g/2½oz plain flour 220g/8oz cheddar, grated 225ml/8fl oz chicken stock 250ml/9oz single cream 2 tsp salt 1 tsp black pepper
  15. I made the Majestic Coronation Pie, came up trumps with it, bloody delicious and not that expensive to make considering the size of it.
  16. Saw some Last Friday(14th April) in Monmouthshire.
  17. Being a lover of mustard had a look at Taylors but seems only sold on there webby or Amazon, shame would of liked to try it.
  18. Yer I would say an industrial estate is not a good backstop
  19. I have a paddy power app and occasionally put a pound or so each way when a few of us are sat having a Saturday afternoon pint in the pub, on a rare weekday visit to the pub a few of the old boys were watching Cheltenham racing so on there recommendation put a few quid each way on a horse and picked up £56, happy days, winnings transferred straight into bank account.
  20. A local hotel in Hereford has just become home to 120 asylum seekers Some info here I have no issue for genuine asylum seekers but this is extracting the urine.
  21. Got a CZ in .17hmr which is a good rifle and a Tikka in .223 and a Sako in a larger calibre, if I was to look to buy a .22 I would look at a Tikka first as the quality is better and the feel for me is far superior and a bit cheaper than the Sako(or was) but if I was to find a Sako at a good price then that would be the choice for me. Maybe visit a gun shop were they have a few of the mentioned makes/models in and handle them.
  22. I agree defo worth complaining, we should speak up , just dont hold ya breath the bloody BBC are useless
