I have had a big stag jump over the front quarter of my bonnet outside Sandringham. I have seen a new motor with the screen caved in and 1 antler stuck into the glass. The bumper and bonnet were also decimated along with the roof join. the stag was hobbling around for a bit before coming to rest in a bush where it was dispatched. the vehicle had to be recovered. I should think that was an insurance jobby.

Actually after forcing myself for a bit it’s fine. I’m not trying that principal with camp coffee mind. Lol

Mellow birds is now my go to. stops all the youngsters drinking it in the office. I don’t begrudge the cleaner a cup, she probably kept mellow birds in business back in the day

Funny you should mention this. I use YouTube quite a lot, I don’t mind the odd ad at the beginning when watching a 20 min interview or whatever. It now appears to be 2 ads before it’s started then one every few minutes. also if you were on for a while listening to say a playlist generated by YouTube you would get the odd ad now it’s 2 at the start of every song. on a side note …. Looking at this thread has generated 3 adverts - 1 top. One bottom and 1 in the posts. no ads were on PW yesterday

I do look for bits and bobs. I don’t sell on there very often. i did purchase a job lot of …… toilet blue once (don’t ask) and did really well selling it on marketplace. A lot went to the horse crowd for their portable or yard toilets. I would rather just give the kids toys away than go through waiting in and answering millions of daft questions for a couple of quid.

What chips do you use. I have found that McCain home seem to be amongst the best. they also do ‘American’ type fries which are nice in their own

@ditchmani have been trying out the old mustard powder. all fine when adding it to the mashed pots and such but… I just can’t get the consistency right i have tried it with and without a splash if vinegar I’m aiming for the same as the jar version. Tried equal powder and water and variations of. i feel the need to state I probably use 1/3 of a jar with the average roast or sausage and mash combo.

I use cross climate on my Passat. Got out of a muddy boggy grass car park ok while some crossovers were stuck. could have been assisted by a bit of luck and avoiding the massively churned up bits though. I do keep a set of snow socks in the boot and they are surprisingly handy as long as you put them on before you are stuck.

That’s some good going. Duracell batteries are not cheap. Leave them outside the front of your house with a note. somebody will have them. I do this with old books and kids toys.

How do you mount the cartridges? hot glue or little pins

Can you not get some red felt and some plant setting foam. cut it then place the felt over using some sewing pins to hold it in place then just slide the block into the gap. easy to remove and no damage anywhere until you have it sorted professionally

Could you not just give the stock a knock with your knuckles to check for sound difference? I should think that with no visible external damage the insides should be fine

All the ones I see in caravans cars and such seem to be powder. I have only ever used powder ones on real fires never seen the mess after but I I should think that will be the least of your worries

Actually as mentioned my mate picked up an as new Hugo boss suit at a charity shop when hunting for a cheap suit after he left his hanging on the door at home when we were away.

If your looking for a passable suit for the day then you probably won’t go wrong with a matalan, primark or similar ‘disposable’ It won’t fit like a tailored one but chances are you won’t have your jacket on aside from the ceremony and pictures - that you will find your stood side on anyway. failing that it’s a hire jobby

I think they should probably go down the route of the realistic replica airsoft for members of affiliated clubs and the such - this seems to work as far as I am led to believe. I should imagine there will be thousands of crossbows from the mail order days in the 80s and you can’t control what you have no way of collating. it is a worry when you see them on the market stalls of holiday destinations mind.
