  1. I think you might find it was for formal identification. After a period submerged in water I very much doubt that any coroner would put the family through having to identify the body visually. still as you say very sad for all concerned.
  2. As you have already done you can make representations. As an alternative you could fire back and say you are willing to explore the option of them sourcing you a car of the same spec and similar mileage and see what they come back with
  3. There are the odd junctions round here (mainly roundabouts) where the vegetation is 3-4 foot high a majority is cut back about 3-4 foot from the edges. The playing field borders are the same. A 3-4 foot mower band followed by a high band then mowed again

    Charity shop

I love a good old charity shop rummage. Usually only the small/local based ones as the big ‘chains’ farm all the decent stuff off to their online or London outlets . a friend buys books and dvds and will then return them when purchasing the next lot I do remember when 400 students spent 2 weeks in Tenby. we had to speak to the local constabulary to let them know it wasn’t some form of protest group. the charity shops were bare and would ask what theme nights were coming so they could stock from other outlets. - duff shirt night - Hawaii shirt night - country night - bright night amongst others. the local night club opened especially and said they took more in a night than they would do all weekend
  5. I know a lot of people who are using an AirTag as a tracker. Removing the boot trim or glovebox and launching it into the belly of the vehicle.
  6. I can’t say I have noticed that but my taste has definitely changed and I’m not keen on some things I was
  7. Bread and butter chippy sandwich as well?
  8. Guy over the road has used motorway.com seems not to have any issues
  9. I find the ‘tall’ options give a bit more length that stops them riding up at the front of your trousers or is it the fact they are too tight around the midriff
  10. Could they not just give the receptionists another weeks training. They way they all act when you call they all have medical degrees anyway

    Awning pegs

We have some that are basically a long wide thread bolt with a point and a socket head that can be drilled in and removed the same way. I will see what make they are when I get a chance but they are similar to the picture
  12. We used to have this issue with motors that were driven without working the engine. I recall having to do 4 junction of the m6 to clear it. I semi solved it by just leaving it idling after it had been on a drive for 30 mins or so every now and again
  13. If you’re worried can you cancel the transaction? give eBay a message. failing that if you are going ahead please make sure you have a couple of mates around to watch the transaction and any other parties that tag along. I would meet in a supermarket filling station if you can’t round up some mates
  14. Is it a space thing or avoiding damage that you will need to put right
  15. In the past I have used the £1 burner SIM cards that you see at the tills in bandm and the like to good effect. Load it in and you can use WhatsApp via the wifi and it also gives you the option to voice call in or call via whats app.
  16. Funnily enough someone parked their car half on half off the path lagging loads of oil everywhere outside our house. I tried washing up liquid. Washing powder and even oven cleaner with no joy. Watching this with interest
  17. Paper bush and sago palm
  18. I always wear low cut boots in a ‘mountain style’ i can’t seem to get on with any that go higher.
  19. I found danners to be narrow fitting. This was years ago. I have lowa and altbergs. Out of the both I would pick lowa day in day out but for full clarity I am currently wearing altbergs. As I bought 2 pairs at a really good price - the first pair lasted 2 years of nearly daily use. My lowas by comparison lasted 5 or so
  20. I think you will probably find certificates would be very easy to change details. A decent .pdf editor or a colour photocopier you could probably knock up a passable effort especially as a majority of people have not seen one. a buss pass on the other hand are mostly printed similar to an id card with security type features and are probably a bit harder to knock up
  21. I bought one from a scrappy that was in the boot of a Toyota to pump up after using that foam can emergency stuff. screw on valve connector with a long lead. Pressure gauge is a bit off but constant so I know it reads 2 psi over now. maybe worth a shot
  22. Just give it a spray every now and again with WD40

    No v5

He could apply on the phone for a new one as he probably doesn’t know the V5 number but in all honesty you are probably just saving the snail mail transit time of the application form. if it doesn’t have a valid MOT you can’t tax it anyway. If it’s not been taxed since 2019 I doubt it will have an MOT. you will be able to book it in and take it without the tax and the registered keeper is not necessarily the legal owner anyhow. by the time that’s done the V5 will probably be with you anyway
  24. We had a hobby caravan (I know) taken. hitch lock. Wheel lock to each wheel and leg lock. 4 hours with angle grinders and crow bars. All caught on the one cctv camera they didn’t see and knock upwards. Hitched up (randomly) to a performance audi. I assume to allow ditching and a quick escape if required then probably onto the back of a pickup or van and on the Holyhead ferry for breakfast
