  1. I asked for 1500 and was given it with no problems (first FAC). Just means you can buy 1,000 and when you drop below 500 pick up another 1,000.
  2. One for boxing fans. 3 PARA vs 82nd Airborne. From a few years ago but an entertaining way to spend an hour.
  3. I rarely do R.I.P. threads. I tend to think they're a bit virtue signally but I genuinely felt regret that this wonderful man had passed away. A genuine hero in a time when all too often the public's heroes are over paid sportsmen. Here we lost a man who had served his country in a world war and then many years later following a modest attempt to raise £1,000 succeeded in raising over £30 million. So a heart felt RIP Sir Tom. Long may you memory be cherished.
  4. Try a trained protection dog. They can go for $75,000+
  5. I don't think I've ever seen blue Damascus, certainly not this blue! Nice short video with an excellent product at the end of it.
  6. I didn't watch any of it but I heard that Ronnie took down his 6th World Championship title. Up there with the true greats now, Reardon and Davis, and only 1 more to win to match Hendry. Crazy record when you consider he won his first in 2001! Well done Ronnie!
  7. National security adviser Robert O’Brien said Thursday that President Trump should be the front-runner for the Nobel Peace Prize because of his work in the Middle East and the agreement announced Thursday between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. https://nypost.com/2020/08/13/trump-should-be-front-runner-for-nobel-peace-prize-obrien/ Honestly I think he is far more deserving than Obomber, sorry Obama. Whatever you think of Trump he is no hawk, much preferring to make his displeasure known through financial punishments rather than blasting you out of existence with a barrage of Cruise missiles. First US president to visit North Korea. https://nypost.com/2020/08/13/trump-wins-the-nobel-prize-for-israel-uae-peace-deal-not/ As the second article says, "None of this is true, of course, nor will any of it ever transpire. But it would be true if there were any justice in global affairs — or at least, if good sense reigned among the men and women who preemptively awarded a Peace Prize to Obama."
  8. Yeah I know, the title doesn't make much sense. Saw the phrase in a comment for the video and thought it was funny. Kinda fits too, because although this gun is semi automatic it shoots like it's full auto. It's Ruger 10-22 Charger with binary trigger. Can't say I'd heard of this gun, or this type of trigger before. Anyway I'll post the video and let 22 Plinkster explain everything. Let the hate begin!
  9. I guess they don't call him Creepy Joe for nothing. Can you imagine the furore if a video of Trump being so, I'll be polite, touchy, feely with kids came out? Would you be happy to have him around your kids? Serious question, I don't have kids but I don't think I'd want him near them if I did.
  10. Where are the riots protests for this poor guy? It's almost as if the media know this incident won;t spark the same level of reaction as George Floyd's death did.
  11. I don't have much hope for the new BBC series of the classic show. Indeed I've just heard from a comedian who has seen some footage from it that it's rather "woke". However I do like the Dominic Cummings puppet. Kinda reminds me of the iirc Norman Tebbit puppet from the original show.
  12. Apparently they're not foolproof. https://9gag.com/gag/ax9W8NY 0Dog vs bowl.webm
  13. Are we going to have another reason to blame the media for unnecessary deaths? Has Trump Derangement Syndrome cost lives? Admittedly prevention rather than cure but nonetheless. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-53679498 https://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-oxford-study-says-hydroxychloroquine-can-not-be-ruled-out-as-preventative-measure-study-says-12043367 http://www.pharmatimes.com/news/researchers_says_hydroxychloroquine_could_still_prevent_covid-19_1346544
  14. Looks like the media stirring things up may have caused millions of Dollars of damage to US cities and indirectly caused the deaths of 30 people and injuries to countless more. Because it seems George was crying about not being able the breath long before an officer had a knee on his neck. Hey though, on the bright side they sold some newspapers and had the chance to do some serious virtue signalling! Warning, no swearing but some viewers may find the footage disturbing.
  15. Here it is. A bullpup, belt-fed, lever action rifle.
  16. Not the dog, the film, starring Tom Hanks. I've just finished watching it and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Tense, often terrifying and at times touching. Telling the story of the destroyer Greyhound escorting a trans Atlantic convey which comes under attack from a German wolfpack. A relatively short film done in the best tradition of an old style Sunday afternoon war movie if you know what I mean. A wonderful moment at the end when the RP British accent greets them and the twist in the plot is revealed. A very solid performance from Mr Hanks who also wrote the screenplay. Not a huge amount of characterisation in the film but very enjoyable nonetheless. If you have 90 minutes spare to watch it then I can definitely recommend it.
  17. Someone's eye after a cornea transplant. That's the stitching.
  18. Quite an interesting short video about owning, and making an iconic Baker Rifle.
  19. Looks like Eire has been right royally shafted in the latest EU budget. The ROI will, presuming the budgets passes through parliament, become the 4th highest Net contributor, a jump from 9th place. Far more detail in the video. Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
  20. Well this is quite the long range gun! The CheyTac M200 in .408 CheyTac. I bet there are quite a few military snipers dying to lay their hands on one of these. I did a little research on the round and according to what I read it seriously outperforms the other long range rounds. The .50 remains supersonic to between 1500m and 1600m. The .338 Lapua stretches out to 1800m. The .408 though is claimed to reach 2000m-2100m! Pricey gun though at around £9,500 and at least £8 a round.
  21. The European leaders have spent 4 days trying to agree how much they will give/spend on their Corona recovery fund. Some results: The Dutch PM has been labelled as the replacement for the UK as the most awkward member of the block. The same Dutch PM has annoyed Victor Orban of Hungary so much that Orban is threatening to veto the entire thing. The "Frugal Four" want a reduced package and also want a budget rebate before they agree to it. The Italian PM has accused the Frugal Four of blackmailing Europe. Sweden is opposing a 5 billion Euro fund to help out countries that are going to be hardest hit by Brexit. Merkel and Macron at one point stormed out of the talks. Oh yeah and they still haven't arranged a regular budget yet. European unity at it's finest!
  22. Anyone see Kimi talking to Martin Brundle at the Hungarian GP? When asked about not getting involved in the taking a knee stuff Kimi just said "Nah, I was taking a dump" (paraphrasing that last word lol). He doesn't say much but when he does talk it's on point and often very funny.
