  1. Hi. Not sure but when I get home I'll measure it for you ok!
  2. For sale – Browning Inflex recoil pad, 25mm version plus a 7mm spacer. Was bought to sort my LOP on my 725 but no longer needed! £22 inc posted signed-for delivery. PM me if interested, payment by Paypal please.
  3. Going slightly off topic.... If you like the Lanc get yourself over to East Kirby museum in Lincs. They do taxi runs / rides of a Lanc. If you can't afford to get a ride inside, just stand the 20ft from the wing tips and watch the back fins wobble when the pilot pushes the throttles whilst braked!! They have a really good museum there as well - and it's never too busy either. Plus - they now have a mozzie that they're prepping to run. Bliss - 6 Rolls Royce Merlins in unison!
  4. Hi all I've been offered the above in 28" multichoke but I've no experience of them and there doesn't seem to be many knocking about! Its pretty much 'as new' condition and he wants £200. The gun will be only be used as a 'spare' so wont be used that much in all honesty. It's in such good condition I was thinking it seemed a decent buy? Thanks all for any advice
  5. Hi Haven't managed to get on the Trent for a while - had an evening session near Newark & landed a PB Barbel of 12lb 6oz! Only fish of the day but 100% worth it! Last year I managed several low doubles & a 5.5lb PB chub so its a decent stretch. Photo is bad as I was on my own & wanted to get her back into the flow asap Back again in a few weeks....
  6. One leg only here and was 12 weeks in Derbys so was happy with that
  7. Rode one around south India for 2k miles in 08. Perfect for their roads and very appreciated by the locals too. Only a rental but enjoyed it immensely. Thought of getting one but it did prove a bit unreliable- good job the locals always had a hammer and screwdriver handy! .
  8. Hi If mmamonster doesn't take it, I'm looking for a starter clay gun for my 15yr old lad. Would this be any good or would I need to get separate chokes later? I'm in Alfreton so if you're ok meeting halfway I'd cover your fuel? Thanks
  9. Hi I'm only wanting to spend 'low' at the moment as my lad (as a typical teenager) may only commit to clay shooting until something else comes along.....girls & booze if I remember!! If his interest drops off I don't mind holding onto a cheap 'spare' 2nd o/u but cant warrant £400 - £600 just sitting in my cabinet I'm afraid. Spending only £200 now gives him a basic start and an idea of mount / safety etc, with the other cash going on carts (which I can use when he gets bored!). If he gets hooked & committed then of course the budget would be increased to another gun if he finds the starter not 100%. Hence the low budget & search area. I'm popping into Neville's on Sat and Cockett ground over the weekend so will see what/if anything turns up. Cheers all
  10. Hi I'll pop into Neville's later in the week to see what they have! Thanks
  11. Hi all Thanks for the offers but I'm only wanting to travel local! Derby or Nottm. I'll be at Cockett on Fri so will check any ads there too Cheers
  12. Hi I was recently looking at a Rizzini E locally but the seller has gone AWOL, so I'm looking for an o/u starter in 12g ideally 28" for my teenage lad. Max budget is £200 - so if you're local (ish) to Alfreton in Derbys and have something please let me know. I'm not in any major rush but he's using mine for the time being.....! Thanks in advance,
  13. So - after trying to arrange a 'view to buy' the seller hasn't responded to texts etc.! I'll hang on in case he's away on holiday or something but for now I'm holding off. In the meantime - if anyone has a decent cond 12g o/u ideally 28" for a 'starter' gun for my lad & not too far from Alfreton, Derbys I've a max £200 budget....! Cheers
  14. Hi Just had a few pics from the seller - all looks ok except the attached which shows the screw on the sideplate slightly 'chewed'! It appears the same on both sides. I appreciate it's an old gun so expect some wear & tear etc, but is this something that rings alarm bells at all to the forum members at all? If it's nothing to worry about I expect I'll end up getting it..... Thanks again all!
  15. Cheers all I'll go and see it as it sounds it'll suit my lad until he wants to spend his own pocket money!
  16. Hi all My 15 year old has been wanting to dip his toe at clay's but I don't want him dropping my 725! Ideally I wasn't yet looking at a 'starter' for him but I've seen the Rizzini for sale locally for £200 with chokes. It's 27.5" and 14.25" LOP so would be ok for my lad My budget was £150-£200 max and wanted to go 12g so we can use the same carts etc. Any thoughts or opinions? By all accounts the bluing is fine & barrels clean. Thanks for any pointers!
  17. What about a completely different tipple? Four Roses Single Barrel Bourbon is currently my fave! Or try some Nikka from the barrel Jap malt. Both excellent and offer an alternative to the Scottish malts
  18. My FEO spoke to my referee only 30mins after he'd left me!
  19. If that's genuine its a Submariner Date - try a Goldsmiths in the high street as they'll be able to confirm if its real. In average condition with no box or papers it'll still be worth several £ks. Definitely worth getting it insured as a named item too.
  20. Its The Lion at Farnsfield and is just round the corner. Some good pub food but Sun is busy
  21. I drop the missus there before the shoot and then join her after. She gets on really well with the barman.....!
  22. I'm just up the road in Alfreton and Cockett Farm I find to be the closest. And theres a good pub just down the road after a shoot!
  23. I'm having tuition with Joe Neville at the moment - two lessons in and I'm shooting both eyes open (left eye master, right handed), and basic clays going 1 out of 5 to 4 or 5 out if 5! One to one with only us two on his grounds. Loads of traps and a great chap too, I'll be having another few lessons with him. I've my own carts and gun but he can provide if you haven't any. Charges around 60

    Das Boot

Downloaded it not expecting much tbh. However, ended up binge watching it! Very good and really thought the French resistance side was good as the sea action Roll on the next season!
  25. Had an Omega seamaster but the clasp failed. I'd had the watch for a year - took it to the jeweller to replace it but Omega refused to do it under warranty saying it was 'wear and tear'! The jeweller was so shocked with a 'reputable' company he later offered a part ex on the Omega. In the end I chopped in the Omega for a Rolex Submariner and never looked back. Wear it every day no matter what and it's been perfect Watch goes up in value each year for insurance purposes. Just factor in a 10% value for a genuine service every 5-7 years tho!
