  1. I'd be interested in more details and pictures / link to pictures on website if you can PM me?
  2. Beretta 682 Supersport (1987 vintage) 30" multichoke but I find 1/2 choke great for everything but extreme (50m+) paired with 32g 5s. The gun fits, is weighty enough but not silly heavy and I'm 6ft. I often surprise people who make assumptions about a younger person (often a lowly beater too) with a plain boring black clay gun. It might bring down extreme pheasants but I haven't had the chance to really test it on these sorts of birds. The gun fit and pairing to size and shooting style of the owner is critical - I also own and shoot an heirloom s/s and a hatstand s/a and shoot **** in comparison with these guns.
  3. Buzzards don't feed on healthy live birds, only carrion, sick or injured animals. My experience is that pigeons, crows and jackdaws all coexist quite happily with the buzzards and red kites on my permission.
  4. I'm can't comment on the quality of new Berettas because I've had my 1987 vintage 682 Supersport since 1998 and done everything with it, ridiculous number of rounds through it and at times only very basic cleaning (but injectors out and better cleaning a few times too). It just continues to be ultra reliable, barely loosening over that time, barrels still mirrored chrome on the bores and most of all it is like an extension of my body now. Paid £750 in 1998, would probably get that or close back for it now. Having bought sxs, semi-auto and small gauge guns since it is still the Beretta that I choose 90% of the time. Go Browning or Miroku if they fit better and don't rule out some of the older models if they have just been sat in a cabinet, they don't fall apart with age.
  5. Do you know what model it is? If it is deep enough for rifle with scope I am definitely interested.
  6. Have used the 28g 6 and they do the job, especially for the cheap price
  7. Is it locked to a network or unlocked?
  8. Excellent, and local to me. I'll message you to see if we can arrange a convenient pickup (for both parties)
  9. Being able to drop in and collect I realise is a benefit I have but even with carriage charges I think it is good prices for an amazing choice of cartridges. If you want something in particular then his business now allows you to get it without excessive travelling, hunting around or 'special order' costs. I can't beat his prices anywhere else for basic clay or pigeon loads when not including carriage and taking advantage of his deals of the week and offers
  10. Interested, will send you message.
  11. Made in the USA, parts easily available from several companies in the UK but they are expensive winches.
  12. No need for a 2nd battery setup for an occasional use recovery winch. I run a single battery setup still on a Jeep off-road toy with an electricity-hungry Warn 8274 winch that gets used multiple times every day I'm playing off-road, sometimes in quick succession when I'm driving very badly and getting stuck. Wire the winch as per installation instructions with a safety cut off. For what you want to achieve a cheap no-name Chinese winch off eBay will be fine but if you would prefer a name and a warranty then Come-Up and Goodwinch are very good at sensible prices. Steel rope will be ok for you, just keep people away when it's under tension winching in.
  13. I've been addicted to off-road driving for the last 10 years and my experience off tyres leads me to sat that the Insa tyres and similar remoulds and real cheapo Chinese tyres will work fine off-road unless you are doing driving on sharp rocks (the sidewalls are thin). Brands like General and Cooper give much better performance all round without being BF Goodrich prices. The better performance becomes obvious in wet road conditions, higher speeds and noise. They also wear down at about half the rate of Insa. BUT they will cost you a few quid more per tyre...you pay your money and make your choice
  14. Thanks Andy, had a quick go again with it today and definitely happy with it.
