  1. I must say she hasn't taken being proved wrong very well. Infact she is furious, asked if she was ok and got the "fine" reply always a cause for concern is the "fine" reply. Asked what was for dinner and was told with a smirk she has ordered takeaway, heart sank when she told me its pizza. So corned beef sarnies for me. Can't eat pizza of any type or make. One slice and I'm on the bog inside 20 minutes and she knows that so its a deliberate and underhanded act of revenge.
  2. Thanks for the compliments chaps👍. On my way to the shed now!!
  3. You mean Pearl and Dean. Think it was called Asteroid. That takes me back.
  4. I can't find any info on it at all. Just that it was a record back in the day. I even asked Alexa she told me it was a satelite asked her again and she gave me a five minute dictation on The difference between Tornado's and Hurricanes. I have showed her the replies...typical woman stormed off muttering something about sticking to killing things.😁
  5. No she is 100% sure in her mind it was the theme to a Western TV show like Bonanza or the High Chaperel(sp)
  6. I am trying to get out in the shed but my wife who by default is always right is keeping up an argument that started last night about an old song. The song in question is Telestar by The Tornado's she is adamant that it was the theme tune to either an old Western TV show or film. I'm sure she has it confused with Bonanza which is similar. I totally disagree but so far have not found out what it was the theme tune to. I agree it was the theme tune to something but not a Western So I call upon the PW Oracles of knowledge to prove me right so I can get on with some shed therapy. For anyone who needs reminding of the song and it does sound very cowboy and yee hah here it is....
  7. Cheers mate👍 The handle scales are an acrylic resin called Kyronite. These ones are called Neon blast on the website. Really easy to work as long as it dosn't get hot then its back on the website to order another block.
  8. With returning energy levels and generally feeling more human every day I decided it was time to get back in the shed, Been trying to get a few projects done for weeks now, go to the shed with best intentions but usually only manage to get the door unlocked before I felt like passing out. Yesterday I felt like I had a "full charge" so cracked on with a knife. Still got about 6 projects to start/finish but at least its a start. I'd got a bit done on this before Covid gave me a kicking, Good chance to try out my new Milling machine to make the finger guard. While its obviously very accurate with the slot and flats its also very slow. I can make them out of brass with a file and an angle grinder much quicker. This one is Nickel Silver, which is fairly difficult to machine but the Mill did a good job. Good quality mosaic pins not the rubbish from evil bay where the smaller internal pins poke out of the opposite side when you grind them. Red fibre liners twinned with stainless liners makes it look a bit professional even if I say say so myself😁 Mirror polished blade and some pritty scales. They have polished up a treat and there is all sorts of action going on there, silver flecks, red flecks. They really catch the light. Thats what I like about these Acrylic scales when they turn up they are just one colour but when you start working them all sorts starts happening. Still some fettling to be done here and there. A good polish always shows up a bit of "nasty" here and there. Back in there today at some point but if I'm honest I got in the shed about 11am yesterday and by 4pm I was banjaxed...totally!!!
  9. Thats lockdown for you. I keep it low to the floor so he can't look into the beam.
  10. He's not a working dog in any shape or form. He's still basically a pup and just likes to play and chew things. If it is indeed bad for a dogs mental health then I will stop but the fact is he loves the game. The laser pointer is on my office desk and everytime I sit at my computer he thinks its laser time. Going to be difficult to get him to forget about it.
  11. Its now kicked off on Facebook. Lots of people saying you can use a laser pointer but at the end of the game, give your dog something to actually catch. And obviously the minority who have completely missed the point and posted a reply about my dogs one white paw.
  12. I have just had my nuts chewed off on Facebook by a vet. I posted a video of my dog chasing a laser pointer. He loves it. Thinks its a great game. However this vet told me its extremely bad for dogs. A dog needs closure from a chase. It goes into prey mode and if it does not catch its prey, it can have a profound physiological effect on your dog. I'm inclined to think B*******!!!!!!.
  13. Any idea's on how you kill a giant? or just avoid them?
  14. You can still give it to others though. Thats the problem.
  15. Seen a few reports that the vaccine in certain cases has made the person Asymptomatic ie can still catch it but show no symptoms and unfortunately still pass it on. Asked the wife about this and she changed the subject. Yet another piece of information I have asked her about Covid19 with a "no comment" response.
  16. I maybe wrong but it looks very much like a bit of rusty metal.😁 At a guess what with the use of the square holes some part of a train track/bridge possibly?
  17. Managed to pair a controller as playing with the keyboard and mouse was not fun. You have to keep lifting the mouse to look and move 360 degrees. Its going to take some practice as so far in the last hour I have lost count the amount of times I have died and no clue who or what killed me.
  18. Hope your sister gets well soon mate.
  19. Not in no way an expert in pooters but mine when I bought it was listed as a gaming PC and I beleive its fitted with a Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 graphics card with a 3D up scaling graphics accelerator whatever that is. 2TB of memory quad core. Makes no sense to me but my son reckons its pretty powerful. It run CAD software for my knife making with no problems and you can be on the internet at the same time watching video's.
  20. Cheers chaps for the reply's ended up Buying it on Amazon for the princely sum £9.99. Set up a steam account they wanted 30 quid.
  21. Hello chaps. Does anyone know how I can down load Skyrim onto my computer without my virus killer going into meltdown? Played it on my sons PS4, and though I am no game freak its not bad. Especially as you can just wander around a massive world, and even get a bit of hunting in as well. Apart from the werewolf, your crossbow is totally inadequate on werewolfs. There are loads of free downloads of this game but all of them trigger my Anti-virus. Anyone help out here?
  22. I used to remember a while back there was a few incidents of people being followed home from clay shoots and being relieved of their guns. But like you say if you want a "shoota" you know where to get one if you operate in those circles.
  23. Something your not telling us Lloyd? Ex CID? The Sweeney possibly?😁
