  8. Just seen an update on situation Regards getting out there at last. Sorry, couldn't post link https://basc.org.uk/ Updated advice on shooting activities in England Post author:BASC Press Team Post published:12th May 2020 Post Category:Featured News / Latest news BASC has updated its advice for shooting, work on shoots and pest control in England – but not in Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland – following the government’s latest changes to the regulations for fighting Covid 19. This advice has been formed after discussions with the government and has been submitted to Defra for confirmation. In line with the Prime Minister’s statement, from Wednesday 13th May, deer stalking, pest control, conservation and seasonal work on game shoots are possible so long as they meet the requirements described below: You may carry out these activities with those from your household group and /or one person who is not from your household group You may travel any distance in England with people from your household group to engage in these activities but the person who is not from your household group may not travel in the same vehicle as you do You must observe the rules on social distancing at all times You must have the permission of the landowner before engaging in any shooting or shooting related work on their land. Any pest control must conform to the law and the general licences. Deer management must be conducted according to the law. Roebucks are currently in season and Muntjac may be managed at any time of the year. Before shooting any quarry species you should consider how the meat will be put into the food chain. There have been issues with different police forces interpreting the government’s rules in different ways. If in any doubt about how your local police will react you should contact the police before shooting, inform them that you are planning your activities within the current regulations and obtain the reference number for the call. You should also carry your certificate with you in case you are challenged by the police.
  9. Looks too good to be true.Seller has no feedbacks. Proceed with caution
  10. A couple of years ago,I made some rag crow decoys out of black bin bags. I had good results with them.
  11. As soon as I get a chance to shoot again,I will give the Flare ones ago. I will report my experience with them back on here👍
  12. I only really shoot alone, whether I'm decoying or shooting clay, which again I do on my own as I have a trap. I have been using the napier pros for a few years now,and find them very effective .Only problem I do have with them occasionally, is when I'm decoying, wearing a camo Balaclava plus glasses, they can get in the way. I find the titanium plugs really comfy, they have memory foam inserts which fit really well. I only use them for sleeping, but find they never come out with all the tossing and turning! It just came to my mind today, that they might be suitable for shooting and was just wondering if anybody else had any.
  13. Having just done a bit of research, I think you may have it the wrong way round It seems, according to the hsc, that ear plugs give greater protection than over ear models.
  14. I have got a pair of Flaire titanium pro ear plugs. I use them for sleeping but was wondering if they would be suitable for shooting as they are very comfortable to wear. They are rated Ce certified and are recognized with a snr 36db rating. Any thoughts?
