Hello, as above, i have been fishing the above for many years and had been a member of FFF Club when we fished Number 1 Reservoir , i was looking at going again this year to fish on Number 2 which is a Day Ticket Venue so i thought there maybe a PW member who would like come on a day with me to learn Basic Casting etc and hopefully catch a trout or 2 , Welcome to bring a Partner or friend , I have the Rods/reels, etc oh and big landing net 🤔😊, it can be good fishing on a nice warm breezy day, i will not fish myself but help you enjoy a day out trout fishing, Partners or friends/ family not wishing to fish there is a nice walk around the Res or Bird Watching, There is also a nice Cafe, Have a look on Google maps, There are various tickets, Day/ Afternoon/ Evening but depends on time permitting if you have a fair drive to Oxford, i would prefer a week day or maybe a Sunday , The weather is a factor in Trout Fishing eg To Hot is no good, so Best is mid late April, May/ June/ July August if not to hot, September October, Oh i am not one of those expert trout fishers you see only the Telly , i just like to enjoy time out fishing and fresh air, a flask of coffee and sarnie and a bit of cake 😊, if of interest let me know

Hello, is Putin mad enough to set this up himself ???, i am sure Hamas have ??, There was even rumours that Israel knew they was going to be an attack by Hamas on the border ?? Putin does not care on Russian people, Hamas do not care on Palestine people, The Syrian are the same, Anything to uphold their Cause, Yet Russian people still hold him as the Messiah , years ago i met a Russian lady in Riga who still held Putin as mentioned, so i said why do you not live in Russia then, She never replied !!!!!!

Hello, no problem, i grew up living in West Sussex, not far from the South Downs, Our back garden then looked over 1000s of Acres of farm land and Woods, it was my playground as a young lad, Have a good Holiday

Hello, Back in the early years of pigeon shooting i often used a set of lofters , These were from Parsons if i remember, as said they worked if the situation was right and a good flight line did bring more success, i was going to make some but it was finding the materials and Ally tube, mine were 6 X 5 ft poles with internal clips, i have not found any today that compares with those Parsons poles, Well Done OB 👍

Hello, That sounds a nice place to visit over Easter, Where on the South Downs ?? , i have a single shot 177 PCP but the scope not ideal for a 007, just a Hawke day scope, no AO or SF unless you use a red lamp/torch, and i live South of Oxford,

Good point, Is permanent pasture flooding or just arable land, or both. Direct drilling /no cultivation should lead to a healthy soil with plenty of microbes and worms which would help drainage, Mole draining is the answer [given of course the ditches arn't full] however you cultivate, the water will hit subsoil and pool if not drained properly
Hello, it is both on my friends farm, Direct drilling saves the farmers a lot of money but at what cost this winter and spring, they use to mole plough here but many years ago now, This farm was part of a very large Victorian Estate some 1000s of acres with lots of staff but now all done by contractors,

I was surprised to see a local farmer fertilising what I thought was self sown OSR because it was so sparse. He said that they had drilled it just before torrential rain which washed the seeds downhill
Hello, That is interesting, i think a lot to do with these flood offs is Direct Drilling where before it was ploughed and if it rained it would soak through the soil better then left compact after a direct drilling

I used to use Hull SF, but last year on a couple of occasions in short supply, so gave Fiocchi Litespeed a go, never looked back, Litespeed 26gm (8) 1495 fps and Hull SF 27gm (7.5) 1500 fps. Nuts all in it, and go for Fiocchi now everytime, super catridge, much cheaper!
Hello, Just Carts now have Hull Super Fast on special offer, £279 per 1000

Hello, on my friends farm they have lost acres of land due to flooding and will not be able to get on the land for planting, i am not sure farmers can claim money off DEFRA maybe for this but it may lead to a big drop in farming profits ??

Hello, it is still ongoing for a lot of X Post Masters, some have had money but not as much as stated on TV, i see one Lawyer who is looking after the interest of a group of claimants , so he would get a percentage from each persons payout, the banded a payout of £600,000 on TV but many got no where near this, lets say the lawyers clients got that and his commission was 10% 🤔, Yes i agree Fujitsu should pay but they have landed more contracts since this scandal started , How can that be right ??
