Any reason you want to avoid the 7D? They are very capable cameras and can pick them up at decent prices now. https://www.flickr.com/cameras/canon/eos_7d/ I have both the 7D and 6D and each has their advantages and use them for different situations. Portraits / Landscapes etc the 6D will come out the bag. Action / Sports the 7D will be used.

Will have to make one up soon now the weather on the up and the lighter nights are coming.

Its not a shoot just some traps on a friends farm was perfect chance to get out with the camera and brush the cobwebs off

Dusted the cameras off today and brought them to our shoot. Only did first two stands with camera as think if i do it i need to either focus on taking the pictures or my shooting as both suffered trying to do them together! Not my best work with the camera today but not too bad. Really enjoyed all your thread thanks for putting in the time and effort to post all the in depth details you have.

Must admit I just buy fibre now as saves having to mess around making sure I have enough fibres in for when go to places that are fibre only. Plus I get used to shooting one cartridge.

Yeah it's a cracking shoot and can't wait to get up more. Last two trips were very windy and cold as its exposed but that's not their fault and nothing they can control

Wow and just wow!!!!! I have worked with the emergency services and seen first hand the work the fire fighters do and the comment above is just shocking! Yes the police take the **** and call them water fairys and take the Micky but they deserve every penny they earn from the first hand experience I had with what they deal with.

I had one shone on me when I was driving before from a fair distance away and the beam isn't as concentrated and filled my view with a bright green light. I had to slow right down as couldn't see where I was going. Now don't know if the person using it could see if was pointing at me as I was about a mile away from where it looked to be coming from. Now it didn't make me feel ill or anything was just like my field of vision was blocked until the person moved it away and switched off.
