  1. Because the job requires your dad to drive out of the country for business purposes, his employer should have insured him as part of his employment as he us there on business, not pleasure. Sounds like employers were skimping to save on costs. Also, traveling with 30+ other people for hours in a confined space, almost ensures any bugs are spread around. I would make it clear to the employer that your dad will be reclaiming costs from them.
  2. They are produced for reloading but 3.5 times price of plastic equivalent. From a manufacturers point of view would you pay £100 more per thousand for fibre steel?
  3. Gamebore Black Gold 28g fibre no 6.5 £270 Gamebore Black Gold Game 28g fibre no 6 £310 As close a comparable as you can get?
  4. If you go to clay and game lead shot is £3.60 /kg, steel shot is £2.60/kg, as you use 750 to 800g shot per box, it would suggest their should only be roughly £30 thousand difference between a lead and steel loading all other things being equal.
  5. Lets see, $35 in the good old USA translates to £27 plus VAT = £33 plus 10% import tax + 10% transport costs should give about £38/100. Someone is taking the .........
  6. This time of year, tick tweezers (and if taking your own dogs make sure to front line them a few days before coming up).
  7. Greens such as broccoli, celery etc depending on your taste can be eaten to fill you up without adding calories to your diet. Similarly, pickled cabbage, sauerkraut etc if you taste buds go that direction. A salad roll made up of lettuce leaves instead of bread and filled with bell pepper, other leaves, onion, tomato etc is another option.
  8. Most decent cartridges have a over powder card that is slightly over size, acting as the seal and in addition When the wad is compressed vertically upon firing, it also as a result expands laterally so i would not worry about over bored barrels too much.
  9. By my calculations, 5 square inches.
  10. That's my bedtime reading sorted........

If it is above the above limits it is a firearm, not an air weapon. No, blank cert like the old shotgun licince.

12ftilbs and under only for rifles. 6ftlbs and under for pistols, guns over the limit still have to be on fac
  13. I have the 612vs from new, no o ring on mine. The piston is however reversible depending on the power of the cartridge.
  14. Bucket Rat/Mouse Traps (2 - 4) Fuse Wire Dog Biscuits Drill bit 2mm Pheasant tail feather Bore a hole through the dog biscuit with drill bit Secure dog biscuit to trap trigger bar with fuse wire Set trap and then adjust trigger bar until pheasant tail feather being used against it sets it off. Put bucket in loft on a flat area Put trap(s) with trigger bar narrow end against bucket (i.e. spring bar should be away from bucket and when trap is activated close towards bucket). Sit back and wait.
  15. Speed is only one side effect during firing and doesn't reflect peak chamber pressure as this is what causes the shot to be damaged due to plastic deformation. Soft lead shot is easily damaged beyond 5400psi, hard lead shot (5%) can withstand up to 13000psi, steel/tungsten can withstand 55,000+ psi. Chasing higher speed (whilst raising pressures) quickly becomes detrimental to lead loads when the lead selected (often due to price) is not up to the task. As long as pressure is less than the plastic deformation level of the shot material, you will get decent patterns, if pressure exceeds the plastic deformation the patterns get spoiled... Sounds simple but a whole generation of shooters and manufacturers are focused on speed rather than pattern.
  16. Different twist rates suit different bullet weights/lengths.
  17. To replace oil, wr would need to increase our electricity generation by roughly 130%.

    Wasps.

Due to my gastronomic choices (i like vinegar with my chips) i always have vinegar in the car, getting that on the stings as soon as possible helps immensely with the normal reaction/pain but does little for the allergic reactions.
  19. You can get a 10w led(cree xml u2) upgrade kit for your maglite.
  20. Max choke i would recommend is 15 thou, i. E. Nominal 0.395 at the muzzle. With 3 inch, 18g no7 is as big as you want to go but no7.5 is better, 2.5 inch, no 7.5 or no8 and 2 inch no 9.
  21. There is nothing wrong with an open bored 410 shooting no7.5 and smaller shot as a starter gun, the lack of recoil and gun weight being advantageous. If you chose to give a 8 year old a fully choked 410 shooting 9g of no5 you can understand why they struggle to hit anything and bring it down. Within 30 to 35 yards the 410 is no more difficult then any other bore to learn with if using the appropriate choking and cartridges.
  22. In the usa in 2016, just over 15,000 died from guns (excluding suicides but including gang/drug crime), but over 35,000 died due to cars.
