This might sound daft but he suffered enough , i dont want his last moments to be in fear , i would rather just shoot him while he is sleeping so he dosnt know about it , my wife raised him form a egg nearly two years ago so he pretty much a pet , also many years ago in the army we where learning how to kill and eat chickens and one of the guys didnt put enough force into taking the head of , so it took two attemps to do it. Like i said in the post mate i just want it to be quick.

My wife has chickens and unfortunately a fox got to the chickens and has very badly wounded her rooster. She tryed cleaning the wound out ect but noticed it is now maggot infested and he is basicly dying. Guys i am a paper puncher i dont do hunting or pest control , however it dose not take a rocket scientist to relise the chicken is suffering. Wound a .22 BSA pcp 12ft pd rifle do the job if i shoot him in the head and where what pellet should i use i got some hades pellets , i am not thrilled with the idea of this however i just want the suffering for him to end. However i dont wany to shoot him and the rifle not being powerfull enough to the job and he ends up suffering more ,bloody foxes.

It be us that take the brunt off this , not the police for messing up and returning the firearms not the GP that said he was fine to handle a firearm no doubt restrictions will get worse but like most other shooting in this Country in the past Hungerford , Dunblane where the police had pervious warning something wasn't right. The blame will be shifted off them and on to us and more bans will probably get put into place which will change nothing because the reason why this shooting happen was because of police incompetence and returning the guys shotgun.

Love how the media is going on about how he watched gun videos on social media like that makes you a bit nuts if you watch gun videos. I think his nutty behaviour comes form being what is a called a INCELL been looking them up to day they are right bunch of fruit loops. The guy wasn't a gun nut he was a nut because of the type of people he mixed with a d his beliefs , honestly do a bit of research on these nutters. I know what you mean , i don't think the police knew he had mental health issues they wouldn't of giving him his ticket back without having a Psychologist report and doctors report saying he was fit to handle firearms.

Maybe they should ban all shotguns i don't use them so it wouldn't bother me , personally i don't think anything should be banned we all ready have tight enough restrictions as it is. Your comment is reason why probably in 10 years time we won't be aloud any sort of firearm and probably have to have a licence for a 12 ft lb air rifle because as a community we don't stick together if it doesn't directly effect us. Hence why little by little the stuff we can have is getting taking away , it only be a matter off time before your type of firearm comes under threat.

Fair one , he definitely was unstable thats for sure and in his case he should off not been aloud to have a air rifle let alone a pump action shotgun. Sorry i probably being a little touchy , i had depression a couple of years back , but i didn't hide neither did i feel like i wanted to harm myself or others all recovered now though , did have to jump though many hoops to keep my licence though. Being in the armed forces helped as my doctor and the Psychologist are used to dealing with people that use firearms so i guess they know what to look for. Had to have a couple of face to face chats with my firearms officer as well. They honestly really looked into my back ground and i had to get all sorts of the doctors , i don't get how that nut bag slipped though the net. I think you get people who have mental health issues that are stable and on the other side people like him with mental health issue who are very unstable.

Not everyone who has had mental health issues are suicidal or dangerous or try and hide it or are unsuitable to handle firearms. Its stigma like that , that stops people form seeking help in first place.

Just going to say it how it is , you have whole family's killed in car accidents because of drunk drivers and speeders that never even make it to the papers , but because a firearm was used people will be calling for tighter restrictions , its is awful what has happen , but there is no point in giving the PC answer of we shouldn't be worried about are sport at the moment guess what we should be worried a child was murdered the public is going to want action , the default action of the police and government is to ban stuff. Doing the old PC answer is not going to help in a year or so when they are taking our guns oh and let's face it no one going to fight it or stop we will just let it happen . Shame really in two weeks i have heard of a baby in aldershot who was battered to death and a toddler killed by there mother but because there wasn't a gun involved there not much media coverage

So i had a visit form my FAO today about my depression and variation. Bearing in mind my GP sent the police a letter saying i was fit to have firearms. It was good news my FAO was happy for me to keep my FAC and have the extra rifle slot so if you do ever feel like you are suffering form depression please go get the help you need it dose not mean you will lose your FAC

Im on tablets m8 feel better than ever now the police have had my FAC for 5 days now all they said to me by email is that they are processing it they havnt mention my depression i did staple a medical from to the variation that states im stable and no restriction form weapons and ranges

So i had a email off them to day saying they are processing my variation so hopefully thats a good sign

Not as such they did take my rifle off me until i saw a Psychologist but that was just protocol they do it to every one until they see the Psychologist just to cover there ***** really.

I also didnt sign them out off the armoury until i got the all clear form the doctor.

This is my rifle i am a pigeon watch member i updated the info on the rifle and notice it had my old loction on where i lived instead off aldershot so i changed it and for some reason it done a new post.

Bolt action a cz452 varmint lovely rifle very accurate two Semi auto Bull pup a walther G22 however never used one myself. Or a 10-22 with a 25 round mag or a smith and wesson 15-22 its shorter than a 10-22 however its more of a range rifle than a hunting rifle i own both i prefer the 15-22
