  1. Ok so when filling out the fac form what would be the correct wording. Would "reason to posses for paid stalks" be enough? I'm looking at putting in for a .270
  2. Evening all was wondering if people could give advice on how to start stalking? I used too have a .243 for stalking but no longer because of commitments at the time, now I want too re start it seems extremely difficult. From what I can see I have to book a few paid stalks? Join a club for "reason" to posses a fac and hopefully within time find land too which permission will be granted? Can others comment and provide advice? I don't mind paying for regular stalks too gain experience but would this been seen. As "good reason to posses?
  3. Basically a quick thank you from myself for the help and views expressed by members on this forum on any post I've done, it's all been first class advice and even steered me towards wasting a lot of money on the "wrong" shotgun for Wildfowling and a cheaper one was actually advised! I've been on a few forums too which I find very hard to get along with, but this one is class! Thanks lads and ladies
  4. evening people, i know this question has possible been asked before but what cartridges are best, i know its down to preference but what do you guys use? i found lyalvale pigeon a good cartridge yet most people dont like em im looking at buying a 1000's of new carts in the new year espically as just cartridges is down the road from me, what your guys thoughts?
  5. Just ordered a mp153 5 shot being restricted for shotgun liecence for silly money I nearly fainted at how cheap :o just need feo to hurry up and send my liecence ! Thanks for the advice everyone still might get a magnum sxs for fox's
  6. Now I'm lost with what gun can take steel? A quick look on gun trader and there zabala 3" magnum for £200! Mint looking a 10 bores for £400 but am I being stupid? As a mate who is a gamekeeper says I worry too much he shoots steel through any gun he has and he says it's fine but I'm just not sure:o
  7. well I liked the idea of an old side by side but none are steel proofed and even home reloading bismuth carts is scary money :0 but I think the Baikal semi might be way forward let's hope the ban on semi auto weapons doesn't go through!
  8. Well I was trying to stay away from the semi route but I can get a Baikal semi at £350 for uses or £580 new at York guns
  9. Evening people, sorry if this is long winded I use to shoot when 18 and used a Baikal over and under d/trigger and loved it but could never rember if it was steel proofed? Now I'm 23 and getting my SGC I'm really serious about getting into Wildfowling and I am going to be doing a try day at GWA in Feb if all goes well. But I'm now thinking of a decent shotgun I'm hearing mixed reviews off people, some are saying use a old gun which you don't mind damaged which made me think a Baikal? But then others are saying use a 12g with a 3.5 inch chamber which with my budget of £400 I could get the Winchester sxp Wildfowling and home reload carts. So if anyone could give guidance on a decent Wildfowling gun? Which I can still use in summer for pigeons would appreciate it, Many thanks!
  10. Evening people! Just getting back into shooting after a few years from it, waiting for SGC but it will come when it comes intressted in pigeon shooting and Wildfowling ! Over and out
