Very nice. Lovely to see something worthwhile granted a new life. The men who made it all those years ago would be delighted to see it looked after and going strong.
Thank you

A superb job there Alan as usual I would add, having seen some of your work previously.
I sincerely hope that the surgery went according to plan and that a full recovery has ensued.
All the very best.

You might try staining the label by dipping it in weak Tea - gives the impression of age.
I normally use dry coffee powder myself and dust off the workshop floor, as I find damping a paper label can cause it to wrinkle, but I prefer a clean label with a reline if it’s my case, as it would have been when first made

Following the Holts bargain, back in January, the J Hobson boxlock eject and case for £110. I have had a better recoil pad fitted and tidied the stock up , I relined and refitted the case, l also made new straps and managed to get a label via the internet and made a copy. I finished it today, it would have been done sooner but had major surgery back in February which delayed things . All in gun, case and pad for under £180 not bad, very happy
