  1. Fantastic player when enjoyed the good life. Thanks for the memories Stanley.
  2. I remember the trap cartridges being very popular in the club I used to shoot with in the 80’s.
  3. Please expand, it may save some a trip or not as the case maybe.

    Whisky

    That’s interesting, thank you.

    Whisky

Cutty Sark, I remember that one.

    Whisky

That’s got your attention. I usually keep a bottle in the house, just talking about blended rather than malt. I have noticed that most of the supermarkets stock Bells / Grouse and their own label. Does anyone ever see the older offerings I remember from the late 60’s /70’s, Long John, Haig, Black & White etc. Cheers.
  7. Maybe this is his next offering and has confused the two?
  8. Looks nice, if you say what the chokes are and LOP also where you are. May help you with the sale.

    By-elections

It’s going to be a landslide come the election, which is worrying for field sports and the country as a whole.
  10. I think the site of the cabinets is sometimes overlooked rather than thickness of steel and how good the locks are. If you can place it somewhere which wouldn’t allow a bar to be placed behind the cabinet. It would slow things down. A farm not far from me had two prised off the wall and taken to be opened at leisure. All they left were the large holes in the wall, where the bolts had been.
  11. No Eastfield gun room and doing a fine job.
  12. Handy chokes, with steel in mind. Most AYA’s are 1/2 & full or 1/4 & 3/4.
  13. Thank you, I was thinking it would be a bit of a giveaway as to I own a gun. I think they have some kind of sale on at the moment
  14. Yes, I think we or certainly I have missed the boat.
  15. I always regret not starting a cartridge collection, when I first became involved with shooting. It was the mid 70’s but there was still some paper cases around by various makers. Like many others my uncle was a Grand Prix man, always in 7’s. Happy days.
  16. Does the delivery van have the Just Cartridges logo on it.
  17. I am guessing if the gent concerned was shooting at a high level (Champion Skeet shooter). There would be a lot of practice sessions and many competitions along the way. But still a good package at the price.
  18. SKB had a reputation for being very well made. I seem to remember them making a o/u for BSA but not certain it would have been late 70’s ?
  19. I have found the photos now from Westley 78. Thank you.
  20. I have been looking around for a s/s with open chokes with steel in mind and came across the above. The seller informs me it’s choked skeet & 1/4 and is original. I thought it was unusual for a Baikal to have such open chokes having owned one or two. I don’t see it as a skeet gun being s/s. Has anyone owned this particular model. From having a quick read I understand that identifying Baikal choke symbols, letters, figures might not be straightforward. Obviously I want to be safe. Thank you.
  21. Yes, they do. Just trying to make the point it’s a very good buy at the asking price.
  22. That would be nearer £1,400 in a shop / shooting ground.
  23. I remember the coal men also, in the sixties. Must have been so much military surplus about back then.
  24. Not perfect but good for its age. Still has that nice leather aroma and squeak. Needs a button and there are one or two areas where the lining and leather could do with sewing back together, please see photo of damage. I take a 44” in a sports jacket, I’ve just put this on over a winter shirt and thick cardigan and it’s a good fit. Pit to pit 21”. I always thought of trying to get someone to make it into a skeet vest for me. Rediscovered during house move. If you want more photos send me an email address, bank transfer only. Thanks. £75.00, posted.
