    Ebay Scammer

This happened to my mate. He contacted the Police and reported what had happened and got a crime number. He then got in touch with ebay with the crime number and threatened small claims court, eventually ebay gave him his money back but it took a while. Like someone said they just want to be another amazon.
  4. Had our conservatory knocked down this summer and a proper extension built with french doors out to a newly built patio. Problem is the grouting/pointing is going green, even some of the flags are getting a bit that way. So how or what do I use to get rid of said greeness, help please.
  5. Its the reason I sold my s410, I hated the bolt, got a ultra now which is far better, also got a hw100 which is better again.
  6. After the sparse summer I returned to one of my permissions and cleaned and filled the flip top up recently. I gave it 10 days and went to see what was happening and found the feeder empty, quite a surprise, so I refilled and settled in and after an hour and a half a customer turned up but it turned out to be quite a challenge,it took a peanut and then disappeared round the back of the tree, it did this three times until I got sick of that game and shot it once it turned round after taking its last peanut,a head shot and lights out,a mature female. I will be back as I don't think that one squirrel had emptied the box. Sorry to hear you've not been well Sciurus, hope you are feeling better, good hunting!
  7. A lucky squirrel or not so lucky squirrel, let me explain. Back to the farm where I try to go on a weekly basis, I can sort of sneak up to the flip top feeder and I can see the level of peanuts as it has a perspex front, I could see the level had gone down about an inch since the last time so greys about but maybe not many. After quietly setting up it was time to wait and after about half an hour I could hear movement and about thirty yards left of the feeder I could see two greys high up in a tree playing chase, they were up and down and round and around, I brought the gun up waiting for a chance and sure enough one stopped for an itch,I got the shot away only to hear it hit the branch where the grey was,the pair of squirrels started with fright and ran down the trunk,I heard a thud hitting the ground and wondering what it was I went and looked under the tree and there lay a dead grey shot through the heart from a ricochet! So a lucky squirrel for me but not so lucky for the squirrel.

  10. Down to the farm this morning to stake out the feeder, had only been there five minutes when I spot a grey high in the trees to the left running towards the feeder, happened so fast didn't have time to get ready so when I swung the gun up it was already on the box and must have seen the movement and scarpered, so disapointing as greys have been scarce the last few months. Ever the optimist, thought it might come back but as it happens one came down an oak tree into my sights after an hour,a juvenile female.
  11. Back out to the farm this morning,I shot three greys here before going on holiday which this year was amazing as to even see that many was a rarity, after my return the flip top was empty so a week ago I topped it up, back to today and the weather was a bit overcast but after a day of rain sort of expected some sort of action, well I did see a squirrel but away the other side in the tree tops, no chance of a shot, but what a lot going on when waiting, first off what a lot of swallows flying close to the ground, scores and scores of them, and something that I saw but thought was a coincidence until I saw happen a second time, a crow chasing a swallow, saw it happen twice, why? A few jays screeching about and it rained acorns, was that connected? or was that where the squirrel went, hiding in the canopy above me, a buzzard and crows fratching, a sparrow hawk zooming through the branches and the best bit of the day, two very pretty lady joggers going through the farmyard, where the hell did they come from, its a no through road!!

  16. Well back at the farm where I was last week after scaring two greys off when I went to check on the feeder. Today I sneaked up best as I could to get in position and found that the feeding box was empty, so had to break cover and top the box up, settled back in again to wait. After a while I heard a sound behind me and so stayed very still and amazingly a wren landed on my knee and looked up, a magical moment. Anyway back to the ambush and saw a squirrel on the ground at the base of the box, damn just couldn't get a clear shot, some numpty hadn't cleared nettles out of the way, finally it sat up in a gap and thwack down it went, had to go and check it was dead as I couldn't see it, a young male. Got sat down again with a cuppa for another wait, but not for long as one was on the box, lifted the gun and woah it was off, but its there closer to me now sitting on a log, take aim at its head but the scope is out of focus now due to parallax error so I go for a heart and lung shot which hits the mark but he runs up a tree only to drop dead seconds later,so two in the bag. In for another wait and another grey obliges by sitting on the feeder, take aim and hear the pellet strike, the grey jumps way up in the air off the box, now I don't like it when they do this as sometimes its not a clean shot, still a head shot but not fatal,so am about to get up to investigate when a squirrel runs up the tree with the box on,stops looks up and then goes further up the tree. I wait fifteen minutes to see what happens, nothing so up I gets and find a dead grey squirrel five yards from the tree so it was actually a fourth grey that went up the tree. So three in total which is more than the last two months.
  17. Apart from a grey that run out in front of my car,I have seen no greys until today when I went to the farm to check the feeding box and lo and behold there was two running around but they never came back for an ambush, still the box is getting used so I'll be back.
  18. Normally watch MotoGP but watched F1 as it was Silverstone and wow was it worth it, great racing.
  19. Was out yeserday mainly just to check the feeder as I have seen very few greys about recently. Got to my destination and open the car door and theres a grey swinging about in a tree, gone by the time I was sorted, topped the feeder up which was empty so hopefully there back on it. Went for a wander through the wood and saw onw other squirrel away in the treetops, raining today so back at the weekend.
  20. Just a few pics from one of my trips.
