  1. Well done. I took out a group of 3 bucks on Thursday, the first day of my retirement. Had to crawl into them as they fed on the farmer's winter wheat and then they proceeded to sit down in the lee of the very cold wind. I waited until one stood up again about an hour later and neck shot one that was still sitting then took the other two out too. I had dropped some venison off to the farmer upon arrival, which was from a couple of does taken a few weeks earlier, so the freezer is now topped up again.
  2. So, eventually, after looking at the TTS and more recently the TTRS, I finally decided that this might be a better option for an old **** like me.....it is an awesome machine!
  3. Hi Stimo Thanks for the feedback, I am going to try some with the cartridge end, saw them earlier. I will ignore the comments from the heathens amongst us 😁
  4. The SD forum will be a good opportunity for you, I'm sure I have seen someone from Kent offering to take a beginner on recently and you my get an offer to tag along with someone to observe the gralloch.
  5. Having recently purchased an old woodturner to mess about with during lockdown, my first effort was a game priest. I'd like to have a go at improving my effort and make a couple for myself and the missus. Can anyone advise where I can purchase the brass components similar to in these pics? Cheers
  6. DSC1 course doesn't cover practical gralloching
  7. I remember in the mid 80's in Perth sunbathing one Easter and having a snowball fight the following Easter.
  8. A/ that is far too cheap, and B/ that is an awful lot of studs!
  9. The stud fees have not risen in line with pup prices, which to me is not right. The old adage of a pup or price of a pup should stand in my mind.
  10. I don't think it is that simple, all "fanatics" to a cause shout loudly, plus the SNP massively control things in Scotland, in alliance with the Greens and this is why we are seeing unjust laws foisted upon the populace.
  11. Hi James Will ask the missus and if there is anything available. Where roughly is your mate?
  12. I doubt it tbh, you can't keep on saying this is what the people of Scotland want if they twice vote that it isn't. They are driving the notion for a 2nd vote due to changes "against the will of the Scottish people" i.e. Brexit but how many major changes will occur that they could justify yet another vote following this one?
  13. Salmond trained Sturgeon very much in his own mould, she was his natural successor from way back. Fallout between such like-minded souls is always more brutal. I actually think another referendum would be the best way to shut the SNP up and put an end to Sturgeon's reign as i cannot believe they would win an independence vote now. As others have noted, they continue in power by encouraging the voters to hang on to the romantic braveheart notion of independence as a means of masking their many failings, and without it perhaps the public might just look a little closer.
  14. is that at Woody Island?
  15. Yeah, that's why I asked on here, but have someone looking into it now. The police are also investigating. The person we think it is has form and are awaiting feedback from someone who was similarly abused by this person - will be interesting to see if the same email address has been used.
  16. No worries. Our lad gets a few studs so if you are still to get sorted later in the year then give me a shout and I will see what is about. He throws a great stamp of a lab with great temperement. Here's a pic of him (farthest away dog) and two of his sons and the two boys as young pups.
  17. I couldn't give a monkeys tbh as it is really only someone wishing to anonymously slate her dog, whom is very well regarded in the trialing world. The other half has got herself a bit wound up about it and it would be interesting to confirm who the culprit is just to shame them as they appear to be involved in the gundog world.
  18. It was an email that was sent after the advert had been placed.
  19. I'm not seeking to defend her, just looking to see if there is a way to track them. I wouldn't put my tickets at risk over this, I assure you, you are over-reading things. Outlook shows a chain of emails these days within an email, so it does appear to be linked. The add was not poorly written, it had one spelling mistake.
  20. My other half replied to the email and got further abuse. We think we know who it is as with modern outlook it groups emails and has oddly linked this email address with one from whom she received a stud enquiry last week that then didnt respond further. She has already rang them and did get a reply. Dormant company according to Companies House.
  21. I bought a DJI Phantom 4 a few years back, fantastic quality videos and photos from it. Did as others on here say they would, left it in the loft after moving house and the batteries are now knackered!!
  22. Yeah, I saw that. It is a dormant company but did show the sole director's name.
  23. Hi All My other half has had a rather nasty anonymous email in response to an advert she put on a Facebook site to advertise her stud dog. The email address appears to be From: JB Bower <studiocards@mail.com> Can any of you good people enlighten me as to how any information might be gleaned from this email address? Nobody is aware of anyone by the name JB Bower and I wondered if there is any info that can be captured from the "studiocards" bit. Cheers MD
  24. Our stud dog has had a few matings so there will probably be a couple of litters arriving over the next few weeks around the Midlands area but probably too far south for you.
