  1. Yeah that's interesting mate. They arrived in Australia this week so I'll go and check one out. Thanks for your thoughts.
  2. Hey mate, what about the F16 disappointed you? Have you shot an F3 to compare it to? Sorry to go off topic.

    TNT delivery

TNT have lost the Croots slip I recently ordered. It's the first time anything I've ordered from the UK has been lost. Fortunately the shop is sending me a new one.
  5. Something thin in Merino is the go mate. My vest has become a bit tighter (we obviously have the same climate-change issues in the Southern Hemisphere) and this year I bought a thin Icebreaker jumper. It's got a high-neck zip and is the perfect weight. Not too hot if the sun comes out halfway round the ground either. On a couple of really cold days I've put on a thin merino thermal underneath. I think you can get Icebreaker in the UK. It's a New Zealand brand.
  6. So I started out as a kid chasing rabbits/foxes/kengaroos. I then started doing a few trips up to NSW and Queensland each year after pigs and goats. I've also done a few Northern Territory trips after pigs and buffalo. About 15 years ago I started hunting deer pretty seriously. In Victoria we've got Sambar, Red, Fallow and Hog with the odd Chital and Rusa. Two years ago I started shooting Field and Game which is Australian Simulated Field. It's like your Sporting Clays or English Sporting. I've become massively addicted to it and shoot comps about 3 or 4 times a month. Through F&G I've gotten in with a great crew of blokes and with them I'm hunting duck and quail. We also take 4 driven pheasant days per year and do a few walk-up days on partridge and pheasant. In terms of guns I'm shooting a Kemen KM4 32" sporter. When I started on the clays I bought a 725 32" sporter then went to the Kemen. As a bit of a gun whore I've had at least one of; 22, 17hmr, 223, 22-250, 243, 6mmXC, 270, 7mm wsm, 30-06, 300wsm, 300wm, 325wsm, 338NM, 9.3x62, 375H&H. Bloody hell, that's pretty bad now I actually list them!!
  7. Cheers ehb. I think I'll be happy with the oxblood.
  8. Sorry mate, no photos. I could have taken some because the place is looking great with all the rain we've had. I wouldn't have taken a photo of the scoreboard though because I had a shocker. G'day matey yourself.
  9. Well mate I'd be an hour from Bendigo and a bit less from Nagambie. I'm shooting at Seymour tomorrow which as you may remember is very close to Nagambie.
  10. Decision made. Byland zip-only in oxblood ordered.
  11. Holy thread resurrection! Just ordered the Byland in Oxblood. I was thinking of getting it in Havana to match my Croots cartridge bag, but the photo above swayed me. The oxblood looks great. Who needs matching accoutrements anyway!! This thread helped the decision. Thanks boys.
  12. Both. Spiders don't cause too many issues, but snakes are complete bar-stewards.
  13. Hi mate, I'm about an hour north of Melbourne, so central Victoria. Thanks for all the welcomes boys.
  14. Hi all, Just a quick hello. I've been shooting rifles all my life but shotguns only for the last two years. I shoot clays (simulated field) and game. I've got some good info from this site over the past two years so figured I should join up. Cheers.
  15. I bought the kit separately when I bought my 22-250. I hadn't even installed it before I took it back. Both the "bottom-metal"(plastic) and the mag felt really cheap and flimsy. Used the standard floor-plate mag and couldn't be happier.
