i wear varifocals and tried a set for clay shooting in but did suffer until I found out varifocals don't have the prescription across the whole lens just a bit in front of the eye so nothing down either side, which is ample for everyday vision but you loose out on peripheral vision. After speaking to my optician the last inserts I got were pure vision lens and ok I cant read close up but im shooting clays that I can see

evening B391, the car I bought was a salesmans runabout so he'd requested upgrades to the wheels 19" and its got the xenon headlights option that turns when you turn etc, they are way way better than the standard LR lights on my old car, for me they reach out further on dip and well, main beam is a revelation on the narrow lanes around here. Hope you get to try an Octavia soon and I don't think you'll be disappointed - a million taxi drivers cant be all wrong ha ha ha and me

B391, I'm not doing the miles now a days so it's no got 25,000 on the clock yet but so far so good

evening B391, ive got the 65 plate Scout with the 180 ish DSG engine/gearbox combo. Bought it new when I retired and px'd an 8 year old Freelander 2 HSE for it which while I was working was the best car id owned. Now ive got the best car for me, its got everything the Freelander had but its oh so much quicker, under 8 secs to 60 when you want it to and at the moment its running at 44 MPG as well, tho this years trip to Dartford for the BO I managed 52 there and 46 on the way back (did get caught up in the M1 race track on the way back). I don't do much offroad, wet field or muddy track to shooting grounds mainly but the car has never flickered on either surface, routine maintenance costs seem ok compared to LR. All in all im happy with my choice

James, I can only suggest you get to a gun shop who also sells clothing and try them on as like most clothes for us 'larger' blokes (I'm 54" chest) an xxl from one maker is xxxl somewhere else. ive got 3 at the moment, 2 Beretta 1 sized as GB 50 and another as VL (!!!), my Fabarm vest is sized XXL but needs a zip extender to get it to fit. you might be lucky on-line, size wise, but its easier in store, and no I'm not associated with any shooting clothes firms ha ha

motty, moving before the target I found that I was waiting for the clay so sometimes (not always) I slowed my gun movement and missed behind. Didn't realise until I saw the headcam footage, everything looked right sight picture wise. Vicious circle, getting further out in front, waiting, slowing, missing behind. That's one of the reasons for the headcam. Went back to my old way of not moving till I see the clay and I feel better, I still miss plenty of clays just not as many as before

buze, I've used a headcam for a round of skeet and agree the wider view has its good points, I noticed I was moving my gun before the clay appeared. To me it's a more social view while shooting but the ShotKam gives me a better personal perspective especially on the misses which there are a fair few. As for cost 4 of us clubbed together which helps, and I'm retired as well.

I use the canvas ones from Buffalo River, come as a pair and belt for £20 ish, each one easily holds 50 carts tho I did find the rivets came loose but a quick stitch or 3 and ive had no problems since
