  1. Yes, I retired last year. I'm not sure if you've already answered yourself anyway, but I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for as "Offside Front Suspension component mounting prescribed area is excessively corroded (2.4.A.3)" is the generic failure item and is as specific as it gets. the number sequence is just referring to that section of the testers manual that applies. What's missing on the failure certificate is the descriptive text that can be added by the tester to better explain or identify the exact nature of the fault. However this is often not done for any number of reasons. If you can't find any sign of repair within 30cm of any of the offside front suspension mountings it's probably been applied in error as previously mentioned.
  2. Thanks for that, fantastic programme, takes me back to my childhood. It was certainly a far better world then.
  3. This is probably the tip of the iceberg and the reason so many are desperate to come here, get free everything. If you apply for PIP there's even a number for "calling from abroad" so presumably you can fiddle the system without leaving the comfort of your own country.
  4. It's Russia, who they arrest and who is responsible may not be the same.
  5. I get what you say, I'd have liked to see more of him shooting, but then I was a lad mad keen on shooting. Watching them again when I was older I got to appreciate more of the other stuff, and it introduced a lot of town folk to what went on in the countryside, which I think was the aim of it.
  6. Same here, watched before Sunday lunch, then off over the fields with the other lads in the afternoon.

  8. Well I'd define "poaching" as taking something either for the pot or to sell without the landowners permission, so no "poacher" is just going to dump their catch. There's only one group of people that indulge in this sort of thing and there were a couple of the usual suspects convicted of various animal cruelty offences earlier this year. That was in the New Forest, I wonder if this is connected. There was a thread on the SD about it.
  9. Completely agree, didn't turn out well the last time they tried it though!

    THE HUM

Underground pipelines? There's a network of pipes that pump fuel/oil between refinery's and storage depots (UKOP). Sewage and waste water storage tanks for holding excess capacity, they get pumped back out into the system when it can cope. Those could have pumps running on and off at various times.
  11. Absolutely, I want the old Conservative party back with old Conservative values, what I suspect we'll get is a more gradual slide to the left to appeal to Labour voters. Perhaps that's just the way of it, old Conservative values are for the old, and we're getting thinner on the ground now.
  12. As it's almost certain Labour will win the next election, I see a vote for the Conservatives as a wasted vote, may as well give it to Reform. I doubt Reform will get to be the next major party, but it might just shake the Tories up enough they go back to being a proper conservative party. Interesting times ahead.
  13. 21 and just married...We didn't go out much.😉
  14. So, not saying this is the case, but if said referee is both FAC/SGC, the fact that they've been seen to associate with someone who the police may have under suspicion/surveillance for something criminal would not in itself be grounds for immediate revocation of the ref's certificates. Though it may be grounds for thinking they might not be a good person to be a referee because of that association and may therefore be a poor judge of character. They also may be completely oblivious to whatever any of their associates are up. The police won't tell you anything as either there's nothing proven or there is an ongoing investigation. All this is just pure guesswork anyway. Could always be as simple as one of you gets named as a referee by a disproportionate number of people, that in itself may raise suspicions as to why, even if it's perfectly innocent.
  15. It doesn't have to be anything your referee has done personally, it may be because of someone they are known to associate with. Realised it's not your referee, comment about association still stands though.
  16. Well done the French. Their police are pretty good as well when the usual suspects start rioting, sorry I mean peacefully demonstrating.
  17. Sorry if I misunderstood, I took that as one minority will take over and oust both other minorities and the current majority. What part did I get wrong?
  18. Because control is not about numbers, in todays world minorities appear to have the upper hand and are capable of exerting massive influence. You can't deny the global power the Jewish people hold, yet they account for less than 1% of the world population. The whole LGBTQRST or whatever movement, such a tiny minority of people, yet they and their supporters are having a massive influence on society. Why?.. Well we let them for a start. Why else?.. Because it's the beginning of the erosion of democracy, and some people have a vested interest in that happening.
  19. London Best, that's a fine man cave you have. As far as cabinets go, a casual burglar is unlikely to spend time on even the cheapest of cabinets, If they're in your home because they know you have guns then a battery angle grinder is going to open any normal cabinet in minutes. It's all your other security that's more important.
  20. Seems quite a "white privilege" view that we in the west should benefit from those willing and able to come here and learn, so they can care for us. The NHS is already collapsing, if all the people in your third world country with the ability to train to be doctors, nurses and carers have left for foreign shores, what will you do when you need a doctor, nurse or carer? Follow them... And be treated by, and be a burden on the health service they have joined, to the detriment of those actually paying for it. And of course once here, why leave? You have to break the cycle, make things better in other countries so there is less incentive to come here. There is little that is wrong with this country that cannot be traced back to immigration/overpopulation, it's about numbers not the colour of anyone's skin. There are many countries that struggle to rise above poverty, we do them no favours by creaming off the best of their population to serve ourselves.
  21. I'm not familiar with the case, but two things spring to mind, either he is suffering from some mental illness and/or the sentences are too lenient to be a deterrent.
  22. Or they could go back to their own countries and improve society there to the extent that people don't need to risk their lives traveling half way round the world for the chance of a better future.
