Lead is capable of crossing the placental barrier, harming the foetus, and is known to cause developmental delay and learning difficulties in children. Its always amuses me how many users here comment on BASC saying what they are doing is wrong, and yet are not members, the ironic thing is that all of those non members will still reap the rewards of the work undertaken by BASC. BASC represent all shooting, and they act for all shooters, a few examples of this are; 1, Pigeon shooting, Back in 2020 when the GL was revoked, BASC got hem turned around and now we are all still using this licence to control woodpigeons. 2, Wildfowling, BASC support many clubs and thousands of members to retain consent allowing them to go wildfowling 3, Young shots and Ladies days - BASC lead the way in providing opportunities for literally thousands of people introducing the to shooting each year. 4, BASC have challenged the restrictions/ban on the use of lead ammunition for all outdoor shooting presented by the HSE. Yes of course they represent game shooting and game shooters, of course this will need support and for all organisations to act when needed, that is why you see the NGO, BGA, CA, CLA, GWCT all raising awareness to the issues around GL43. I'm not quite sure why you think 22lr and airguing will disappear? and when will the price of cartridges double ? and more to the point why ? The result of C19 is that there are significant delays in licensing across the country, then with the ongoing issues on Devon and Cornwall new guidance was issued meaning all departments had to undertake medical verifications this is why you see cert number declining over the last couple of years.

The new card is a peel-able piece of card from the letter. The purpose is moving away from single use plastic. I superglued it to the front of my old card .. fits perfect and saves me signing the back again 😜

you wouldn't shoot any cartridge that was submerged for 24 hours,... Rain will not get into the cartridges they are plaswelded .. no issue. even in the test they were far better than they thought they would be.. looks like you will be using bismuth ...

shine on decoys is not an issue, use them as they are birds will come close enough to shoot, when you have a few dead ones swap them for the decoys... and leave out deads

The info you are referring to seems to be regarding shooting during lockdown. You can roost shoot pigeon as preventative measures. There was a piece in the latest BASC magazine on this "eastern page" Best wishes

And, What about the Ban that will inevitably happen when people do not change voluntarily? What about the perception of people outside the shooting community ? What about the wildlife that will continue to ingest the lead and die ? that right you don't care about any of that or the future of shooting... all you care about is going against BASC even though it was all 9 major organisations that made the statement...

Was it not BASC who sorted out the GLs when they were removed ? or have you forgotten that so quickly ? they have also ensured the current ones are workable.

No Legal cover will take up any case if you are breaking the law . Insurance companies use any excuse not to fight cases, thats a fact .
