  1. With you Ditchie, smells!! BUT anyone shooting or destroying raptors should be put away for a few years rest courtesy of HMP
  2. Hah. So not quite Clearview standard but should be burning far better than said. Do not really understand the 'tertoiaty inlet, how is that controlled?
  3. Love him or hate him Clarkson always says it as he sees it and I think he was being very kind with his comments. It will not do him any harm whatsoever.
  4. Is it an 'airflow' stove? I am not familiar with that make and model but after the Clearview patent ran out almost all the top woodburning stove makers went the 'airflow' way. This system directs air around the body if the stove, warms it and then it exits along the top edge of the door flowing down the glass and into the fire, keeping the glass clean. The bottom opening is purely for initially lighting where air is drawn in below the sticks so boosting flow and once flames are 'dancing' that is closed off and not used in the main burn.
  5. I am pretty sure many of you already buy stuff from Hoggs of Fife. A few weeks ago I saw an offer for Higlander Fleece shirts at a £10 reduction and ordered two. I have since their arrival almost lived in them. I ordered on size larger because I could then wear a long sleave vest and if necessary a polo necked shirt. Yo be honest I did include the polo necked shirt one day and it was just too warm. They are excellent quality and very comfortable to wear. Good large buttons for thick fingers to handle and the top chest pocket takes a mobile phone. I paid £29 for mine each but see they are now £39 but if you work and play outside I think still good value. They also wash well and need no ironing, just a good shake.. The offer might still be on........
  6. Milliband is another example of the politicians we have today who have never done a proper job. Loved the Wallce comparison, made me wonder who he used for Grommet.
  7. Bridgen is not an attention seeker. He is one of the most diligent MPs we have in the House and has the guts to stand up and say what many of the public believe. He is hated by the Globalist elites which says it all.
  8. Firstly, the answer is yes. I seem to remember way back when a day being arranged for semi autos where every gun used such but it didn't seem to catch on. Secondly with regard to 3 shot capabilty then how about double gunning when a good team could almost keep up and fire four ? Hmmmmmmmm. Don't get me going on stupid greedy shooters, been behind a couple recently who shot at anything even 10yrds away and 12ft of the ground. In edit I remember using my 16g Remington semi auto on a walk and stand shoot when my side by side broke down. I was my own shoot so no problem there.
  9. Afraid I can only offer my own experience. I had an area of slabs laid as a patio approx 12 ft by 30ft and had professionals lay it. They put down a layer of substrate which was a good nine inches after tamping down with vibrator. Those slabs have never moved in the twelve years they have been down. If I was going to do the job myself for a shed base I would think of a number and add a bit, can't go wrong in putting too much in my mind. If the jobs worth doing it's worth doing well. Bear in mind that the weight of the shed is going to be transfered down its walls so be sure to make a good job in those areas. JKD covers it well in my opinion and I am no expert.
  10. Know how you feel but Heh!!! we are still on here getting involved. I am the proud owner of one of Simons beautifully restored and updated knives and to date it has not even opened a letter, far too nice to get dirty.
  11. Yep, that's PW for you, full of nice folk.
  12. They are very nice unfortunately we already have three sets.
  13. Check out GBNEWS on youtube are they all conspiracy wonks? From what I read in the paper today the BBC are the biggest conspirators against the UK...thats in the Telegraph. The Met Office say it will likely snow next week... now I don't know who to believe.
  14. Yes, absolutely roaring. Check out the media response Henry 99% support Andrew. It's called free speech.
  15. What a disgusting approach from a SERGEANT for gods sake. Simply tak to the driver in a sensible manner and issue an HORIT1 in my day anyway. Just shows the standard of person now employed in the service. Apparently about 50% of police officers are leaving the force. Sue him and the force.

Was obviously tempted but every time I brushed a ducks ###### on the back of my head I received a smart slap so didn't go that way. I do remember coming out of the flics at Tamworth and seeing the Teddies parading down the street swinging bike chains.
  17. Good day bad day here, so take the advantage when offered. To be honest I have not shot that feeder for over three months because of access. I think the one 120yrds away will also produce in the next week.
  18. As said our bottom cooker can be used for a slow cook and I just use a braising dish with a lid and to further help the 'steaming' and retain fluid I simply stretch a double layer of tinfoil over the whole pot and then put the lid on that. Do not have to use it for long cooks but the pheasant on Sunday was in there on low four five hours and was delicious. It would easily have gone for another four or five woth no detriment.
  19. It was a joy to see a male bullfinch feeding on some dock seeds this morning, They really are one of our most colourful birds, it just glowed in the sun. Unfortunately the bird numbers here on our place have not improved with only a few Blue/Great tits on the peanuts, even the robin has vanished.

Don't be embarrased, I'm still stuck in the 50s when the first Juke Box was fitted in the 'caf' by the bus station in Atherstone.f
  21. Looking on Youtube replies then you are very much in the minority. "Responsible Government"???????? We the public don't have such on either side of the House today, Well, responsible for the downfall of the United Kingdom, I suppose your correct.
  22. Well, I had a bit of fun this morning. It dawned bright and sunny and the light was already up as I approached my flip top on the Pear Tree and a tree rat was already chewing on a peanut . I gently eased my way forward to my IBC hide and settled in knowing that it would return and sure enough it did and the Boxer 177 did the job. Ten minutes later another came on to the feeder and received the same fate. Ten minutes later a third came and sat at the back of the feeder looking down at it's mates. That one jumped so high and hard as the 177 struck home it knocked the lid off the hopper. Fifyeen minutes later another came down the pear tree and was looking inside the hopper when the 177 arrived it dropped straight into the hopper and bounced about a bit showering maize and peanuts everywhere. I finished on six within an hour and 15 mins and then drove across the field to another feeder and as I lifted the lid there was a tree rat still in it. I slammed the lid down and put the bucket of feed on top whilst I went and fetched the rifle. Now all of my feeders have holes in the front so small birds can come and help themselves, so I simply put the end of the barrel over one of these holes and fired a couple of shots and the bouncing about stopped, job done. One of the delights of sitting in hides is what you see close up and a cock bullfinch came and fed on seeds on a dock stalk just a yard away from my small window. They really are one of our most colourful birds and it was great to see one here.
  23. ......has the Tory Whip removed for saying it as it is over Covid. One of our best outspoken MPs and as usual telling the numpties in the Party what he thinks.
