R and B sporting near in Ross on Wye, not far from Hereford. Well worth a look.

When I got my FAC I managed to get a mint CZ 452 .17HMR and a BRNO Mod2 22lr for about the same as you have to spend.
Both really good rifles and didn't break the bank.

Hi all, I'm just after a bit of help really.
Basically I've been looking at getting a night vision set up for my rifles for a while now. I am looking at an add on set up so I can swap it between the 2 guns accordingly.
I've looked at various different ones but the 1 I keep coming back to is the Nitesite Wolf. It seems a decent set up and would suit what I'd use it for. The rifles it would go on are a 22lr and 17hmr so a range of 200m would be plenty.
Is there any other NV add ons out there for a similar price that I should be looking at? What are people's thoughts on the wolf?
Thanks in advance, Dan.

All the dealings I've had with them recently have been positive.
Definitely some improvements been made.

I'm 32 with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. Every day that goes by it gets slightly easier and more and more enjoyable.
They both love shooting and ferreting, watch very little tv and love being outside. I reckon we are doing ok

Fertiliser will corrode almost anything.
It's nasty stuff. N+S so I think the sulphur is to blame.ushally use my old knife but forgot this time.
Always take wedding ring off too for the same reason.

I was using my knife to cut fertilizer bags open the last couple of days and noticed tonight the blade has started to rust.
It's an opinel knife with the carbone blade. I know they're only fair cheap but it's only a few months old.
What would be the best way of cleaning it up?

Shot most out of my living room window this week.
I had to warn the missus the shotgun was probably going to be louder than the 22mag I shot a rabbit with. She wasn't impressed.
Had 2 rabbits, 4 pigeons and a crow out of the window in the last few days with the HMR.
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones as I live/work on a 700 acre arable farm and have sole permission for vermin control.

Well I took her to the vets tonight and it's basically a wart. A soft fleshy mass he said. Nothing at all to worry about and if I wanted it off I could but if not it'll cause no bother.
Thank goodness for that.

Booked in tomorrow evening, hopefully it's nothing sinister.

I've got an Orange five with a similar spec.
Absolutely awesome bike and a very reasonable price

Her and Ken Bruce work well together. Wish Chris Evans and Jeremy Wine would take a leaf out of her book and naff off.

Wish I'd read this sooner. Ordered a set of scope mounts off them on Tuesday morning, £6 postage!! At that price I'd expect them to have arrived before I'd got off the phone but they still haven't arrived 2 days later. Probably won't be the right ones when they do finally turn up

Don't know the guy with the OP but my mate used to do a lot of long range shooting and the furthest hare I witnessed shot with a .243 was 888 yds.
I read with interest the replies both for and against and I have concluded that the against camp know nothing about the subject of long range shooting and the fors have done it for themselves.
If you have all the best equipment i.e custom built rifle , home made ammo ,top end scope , rangefinder, wind meter and software to enable you to dial in its not that difficult.
There are those that can and those that cant . Just because you cant do it doesn't mean someone else cant .
We were goat stalking once and my mate shot a goat at 500 yds then passed the rifle to me straight after and I shot another at 500 yds , once dialled in just place crosshairs on target and away you go.
I appreciate its not everyones cup of tea , my mate wasn't interested in close range shooting under 300 yds and would pass the rifle to me for these shots he would much rather they be 500 +
I personally do not shoot long range as do not have the gear but can appreciate the skill involved and all the practice it requires.
Love watching his videos, makes my shooting look a bit naff in comparison

We live on the Hereford/Gloucester border and our lads primary school is shut tomorrow yet the nursery part us still open. We have had a bit of snow but nothing much, I think it's down to how cold it is that they are shut more than the snow.
3 day weekend with the rugrats stuck in the house..... great

That's a lovely rifle, I have the same 1 but I wish it was the left handed version. If I didn't already have mine I'd bite your hand off!

Thank you.
I haven’t a lot of money but she doesn’t want any. She appreciates rolling in the dirt , hunting , talking to the older generation and hearing stories. We make our own stuff and she loves it.
She cleans her gun every outing and helps gut the bunnies or fish if we are on holiday.
I think I’ve found my new best friend and she was under my nose the whole time
Shame theirs a swear filter.
What more could you wish for?
Sounds like you've got a little cracker there.
My 5 year old is starting to show an interest in all things outdoors and it fills me with hope that I'll have a shooting partner in a couple of years.

Stupid way of doing photos on here it wouldn't work.

Managed to grab an hours ferreting with my eldest last weekend, he's never happier than when he's out and about either with his air rifle or his ferrets.

Keeping Cats Indoors

Going back a couple of years we looked after a Bengal cat for the wife's brother while he went travelling.
We were told he was strictly a house cat and he didn't likeit outside and that he shouldn't be let out. About a month in to us having him I could see he wasn't happy in the house so I let him out.
He was like a different cat. He would go off for the day and come back inthe evenings with mice, rabbits, even magpies!
The wife's brother went mad when he heard he was outside ?
Since then he has gone back to his owner and is stuck inside again. I think it's very very wrong to keep a cat indoors.
