  4. Looks a good set up, and a proper bargin. I've posted a link for your ad onto the moochers hunting forum, hopefully you'll get a reply off these lads. FENN Many thanks for the help, much appreciated.. No interest from that direction as yet though.... still available... Boney, PM sent mate, cheers... Nice one Magman, look forward to it m8!! Keep in touch, let's heat them barrels up...
  5. C,mon people, there must be someone out there willing to give these guys n gals a workout... Bloody bargain here!!
  6. You been tellin her it's 6" all this tme!! Get her interested my lad!!
  7. Personally, I use 42g "Zero's", stops em dead in their tracks... but wouldn't go lighter than BB's.....
  8. Tucks Right!!!! Don't go buying a dog or spending all your time training one until you've tasted the fruits...... Wildfowling is not for everyone and maybe you would not like it... if you do great!! Then think about a dog.... Not being over judge-mental, but Dogs are for life not just for our short pleasure.... Lots of thinking to be done here m8 On the other hand if you're intent on a dog, then maybe a spaniel would be better, they're up to the job of wildfowling but if you decide to give it a miss then the ol' springer will serve you well in other aspects like rough shooting, decoying maybe ?? etc etc...
  9. I've been training my springer for 11 months now and "Taffy's" training has come on in leaps and bounds, included are some pics from early on up until recently when he did his first ever retrieve, a squirrel, along with two two pigeon I took later on: Managed to get some more time in with Taffy between working the other day and decided to spend a morning with him on some more training... Drilled the 'stop whistle' into him today, with good results, spent some more time on the basics like walking to heel, steadiness and retrieving over water.. the boy done well Rewarded him with a short walk of about an hour before the rain set in and he managed to flush his first rabbit and I kept up my end of the bargain by hitting it first time He did retieve the rabbit but only for approx. 10 yds before dropping it, this I think was my fault as I got excited and began to praise him too early (ahhh! should have waited for him to arrive), but not to worry, I was very pleased with his efforts, things can only get better from here... he's showing great promise.. Here's my proud pic of him with his first...
  10. Cheers fellas!! Good welcome... Please take a look at my post in the Buy/Sell section... selling a large crew of ferrets and cages etc etc... very cheap!!! Thanks again!
  11. Due to moving house I am very reluctantly putting up for sale my loyal rabbiting crew... I'm offering almost everything you need to get started.. The price includes 4x Young Ferrets (2x Hobs & 2 Jills, all between 12 & 18mths old), in sound health, fully working (and good at it too I might add!), 2x Feeding Trays, 2x Auto Feeders, 3x Water bottles and 2x Purpose made, quality, Hutches/Cages with add-on exterior run. Both cages are designed to share the run between them and have access to the run via sliding doors, the run and cages were made by myself and all have ladders/holes to keep your critters occupied, all woodwork has been treated and roofs are weatherproofed with felt, so should last many years... The two hobs are very friendly (my little lad holds them on a regular basis), the jills are fine with me never a problem, never tried them with anyone else so bought as seen I suppose. All have lovely colours, two in Polecat markings and two in Cinnamon. This is a bargain for someone out there... one of the hutches and run alone cost me over the asking price!! I will also throw in a good quality, wooden ferreting box with double lids. Sorry but no nets to include as I'm hanging onto these just in case I decide to get others in the future. I will let the lot go for £60 but buyer must collect (from North Wales) ... no offers Pictures are included of both the cages and ferts but if you need more info, feel free to PM me: Cheers
