  1. After getting off on the wrong foot I just wanted to say thank you to zx10mike for a great experience out rabbit shooting with him last weekend. Learnt a lot , got a few rabbits for the pot and made a new friend along the way.
  2. Hello and welcome also from Leicestershire
  3. Welcome again from another midlander.
  4. I shoot at East Midlands Shooting Ground regularly, its a great ground if you are just starting out as this is where i got into the sport. There are a choice of disciplines but i mainly shoot the 50 sporting which is shot from 7 stands and the layout is changed weekly, highly recommend a visit. Having said that i have also been meaning to visit Boarders Wood to try out the 100 clays in a woodland setting just to mix things up a bit, let me know how you get on if you go anytime soon.
  5. Sorry zx10mike that you feel you had to make a comment regarding my regularity on the site. Not that I have to justify myself but I have been out of the country for the last 4 weeks and finding internet connectivity wasn't high on my list of priorities.
  6. Hello, I discovered the Pigeon Watch forum a few weeks ago and thought it was about time I joined to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge, get some tips & advice, and meet some new people. I started shooting around 18 months ago when I bought an air rifle and joined a local club. Since then I have also got my shotgun certificate and thoroughly enjoy shooting. I mostly shoot clays at my local club (East Midlands Shooting Ground) but I am also hoping to try pigeon shooting should the opportunity arise. This was another reason I joined PW to see if I could possibly find someone in the Leicester, Nottingham, Derbyshire area who wouldn't mind me coming along for a shoot. I'm very keen to learn and willing to travel. If that sounds like you please send me a private message. Can’t wait to get reading more topics and learning more about the sport. Cheers Gary.
