AYA117

I wonder how some can say their finest SXS is the ultimate all rounder when clearly it’s not. It can’t shoot big heavy loads or Hp steel couldn’t take any abuse in harsh conditions so has nothing ultimate about it. AYA No2 3" magnum bored 1/2 choke in both barrels,I think that covers it !!!!!

How did they perform ?

Has anyone tried them ?

For me it's my AYA No2 3" magnum,

Impact Tungsten Matrix 1 1/2 oz (42g) 3s last I heard they were £45 for 10,I was lucky and got them at £23 for 10.Yes they are worth the money and a goose is worth it too ! Bet that will not go down well

Sorry ! But not true,most 70mm or 2 3/4" chamber guns are rated at 850 bar,the JK6 T5 box clearly states 'Use only in guns with proof test of 1320 bar' CIP S

I use Waidmannsheil in 6 (5 1/2) and they are a very good shell,are they better than Hull High pheasant extreme 1 1/4 oz ? probably not from my experience. If you want a really good 1 1/4oz load,then try RC JK6 T5 but they are for magnum proofed guns only! I use them through an AYA No2 magnum and they work very well.

If you phone ASI they will search their import records,it does cost £10+VAT but as you only paid £240 for it,would be a small price to pay

Get back in touch with AYA,I have a No2 and a 117,and yours is a No2 ! The 117 has a totally different action as it has a third bite on the barrel and there is very little engraving on the fences.It's a No2

High Pheasant Extreme 32g 5's and Rottweil Tiger 5's

The No2 was never available with a 25" barrel,26" being the shortest,and the 25 is basically a copy of the Churhill 25,with a raised narrow rib and where Churchill put a gold XXV on the rib AYA put a gold AYA, and they look great ! And please carry on with AYA thread

Have had an AYA No2 for around 18 years now and is my go to gun for everything except geese,have many others but this one sees more daylight than any other,sometimes,just sometimes it goes as a spare gun,but not often.

Got a No2 ,a SLNE 3" and picked up an as new 117 last week.Next on the list is a sidelock XXV, If anyone knows for a SLNE I would be interested

Feel the same about my No2 had it a long time and no chance of it going You got a senior,cannot think of the words to describe how jealous I am,whats wrong with the single trigger ??

Does seem a very light load for a 10 bore bismuth,sounds more like a steel load,

Wow that is a good find.As to a price,no idea! But a box of 12 bore Eley 1 1/4 oz is £50............... Ouch !!!!!!!

Think there was two AYA hammer guns produced,the model 110 and 220 not sure if they were available in 3".There are 2 model 56s for sale on Guntrader one for £2,500 and £6,150 think I might forget those two !!!!!!!!

Don't forget the other sidelocks,like the 56,53,117,116 and 112.Would be lovely to have one of each
