    How High?

@sagalout thanks for that mate, much easier than me putting up screenshots of stuff I know nothing about 👍
  2. There still resetting the last scrum 😪😪 Painful.
  3. He knew exactly what he was doing, I expected him to see yellow for it. They haven't suddenly become bigger though, a lot is down to the daft way union players plow in going really low with the ball, something you never see league players doing, they aren't trying to run through players but get low and set the ball. League have also had the review call for a while, someone gets a yellow and the ref crosses his arms so it can be reviewed after the game. I do understand the whole bunker thing, but when you watch something in slow motion 25 times it just gets worse, it should be reviewed at full speed, when the ball carrier has his head at waste height, turning jinking what is a tackler expected to do? Big difference between a no arm, lazy tackle plowing into someone's face and someone going to wrap, dropping their height, maybe the attacking players should be responsible for how low they get 😁
  4. Your not wrong, they are flying out, one side step or cheeky kick, like Italy did... I thought England were poor, they are clearly being coached to play without the ball and its just awful to watch, anytime they actually ran the ball I thought yes go on, then it's not finished off?? Wales looked OK but they didn't punish us with a two man advantage. As for Scotland?? It's like they didn't want to win?? And yes it was a complete farce at the end, they watched the ball move and get grounded, the ref couldn't have been in a better position, had that have been on 20 minutes and not the game decider then they'd have given it. Lads lashing Chesham, the fella he hit was on one knee from being tackled, the last time I looked it was rugby they are playing, just how low are they supposed to be able to get? But we scraped a win from a terrible game, oh the joys.
  5. I can almost understand things taking a while if say I was applying for a new licence, but renewal and variations shouldn't take long at all?? I saw something the other day saying Yorkshire police are doing variations on the day at the shooting show.

I'll pass your thanks on mate 👍 Glad you've gone this route for FAC, it's what there designed for so you should be happy 😊

Cheers mate, the lad I asked actually lives in SA, he then msgd another lad, could have been quicker 😉 The Crowns have quite a following.
  8. Great news 👏 I stopped yesterday when I was out shooting, two large birds on a grazed field, no binoculars and I couldn't get the rifle out, then someone posted a picture of the same birds later, they were Mistle Thrush, I couldn't get over how big they were. Lots of birds at my squirrel feeders and on my garden feeders.

    How High?

I asked one of the lads your question and got this answer mate.
  10. The weather has been terrible and its January, I'm sure things will pick up 😅 I doubt most folk know what the issues in the middle East are!
  11. Losing 20% doesn't sound good, but it definitely sounds like it worked out 👍 One of the lads off the machine shop retired last year, he was one of the last old boys, only another 1 or 2 now, he'll be on a decent pension but the thing is he got there, I'm now an old boy in here at late 40s and I can't imagine many in here being able to retire early.
  12. I didn't recognise the name, but that line will never be forgotten. RIP
  13. I've said before I don't expect there to be a state pension by the time I'm old enough to retire, it'll be some sort of tax to pay for the burden of all those with no private pension
  14. I think it's the law that he does commentary for Wales games. Finn Russell was spot on, yes Scotland won but what happened, both teams only played in one half.
  15. 😅😅😅 Rebuilding is fine, but they need to play rugby, Marler popping balls up instead of plowing in? It looked like they'd had a few days together not weeks, then loads of changes at the end always makes a mess of things. I know, when he came on I thought really 🙄🙄 I wanted to see a young fresh team, not same old... Let's hope England get into gear for Wales and Scotland 🙈🙈
  16. 😅😅 I know, it's not supposed to look like this. Look at England's front row now, Cole and Marler, I know Cole has just come on, but surely we have younger fellas coming through.
  17. France didn't help themselves but Ireland were great, just shows how good their squad was. A fantastic win in France when all the crowd is against you. 😅😅😅 I really wanted to see England put out a fresh attacking team, after all its just Italy. But then they've named Ford at 10 🙄 same old... Wales v Scotland should really show where those two are at 💪💪
  18. I've had two good days this week, I was out Wednesday and Thursday and they were two very different days. I went out Tuesday night to check a feeder, I've shot nothing here since the 4th of November because there's been so little happening, and it was the same again, just a bit if feed gone with signs of squirrels and this fella. He wasn't bothered by me or the torch 😅 So despite the lack of activity I set up for morning. I was back before daylight and under my brolley, a Blackbird and a Robin could be seen but that was all. A cold end was blowing in from my left with the dangling strap from the feeder sitting at a lazy 30° I gave it around an hour and a half but there was little to see, the birds didn't show till almost 9am so I was off. Stopped at Mole Valley for supplies then off to the next wood, the wind had dropped, I had stuff in the car to make adjustments to a feeder, but decided to walk a different section of this wood that I've not been in before and it really paid off. I was meeting a mate at 1pm to swap a feeder over so new I had a couple of hours, the only issue with this strip of wood is knowing you have to walk back on yourself, it's a steep slope on one side and the road on the other, but lots of Oak, Beech, Yew and Holly and it was the Yew and Holly the squirrels were mostly in, I managed 2 pairs which I was very happy with, shooting up the slope, out the trees and a close one in a Holly Bush that thought it was hidden, not from the thermal. so off to meet my mate, that sorted I called at the new spot to check that feeder for morning, only the forecast was spot on and it was tipping it down now, to the point I didn't want to get out the car. but I got out and got wet, found the feed well down, but not gone, perfect, added some more then did the other feeder down the lane, I didn't set up for morning because it was high winds all night, and I'd have soaked doing it, it rained fir about 4hrs solid. Onto Thursday morning and I was up and out to a beautiful sunrise, no wind, perfect. Carried my gear in and set up my brolley but hadn't btought a chair 🙈 went and got a cut log only to find it was a bit tall for the brolley but I made do. 10-15 minutes after setting up and the first squirrel showed up, up onto the feeder only to be ambushed by a second, quick scuffle and one is back at the feeder, it lifted the lid, took a nut and sat back, I lined it up and... Missed 😳😳 I can't think when I last missed a shot off a feeder, I think I dropped the stock a fraction and went high?? The squirrel was off into the trees on the right, but there was a second straight in,, and normal service resumed with three in 30 minutes. There were pheasant everywhere, including what I first thought was a chicken, but was a white hen, terrible picture but I had to get my gloves off and phone out. Didn't see any squirrels running through the tree tops this week but there was one mooching off to the right, at least until a Jet went over and shook the end it was so low. With that I went for a wander down the lane, spotted a pair in a Holly, one took off doing zig zags while the other thought it was safe, wrong, on my knees off the sticks and Whack. I saw two others but they weren't playing ball so I moved back across to the main feeder, spent half an bird watching then packed up. Another 4, 3 males and a female. I stopped at the garage for a brew and pasty and was treated to a second fly by, this time two Jets came over low and loud, it looked like they were using the garage as a marker to turn, seriously loud and impressive. cheers chaps 👍
  19. They talk and talk if someone is on a bridge, if you start waving a firearm around and pointing it at the police its only going to end one way. It's a lot better than reading how the police failed to turn up and the woman was killed.
  20. And sadly it's not occasionally 😕
