  1. Dave, what's the Mrs. destination ?? How far down the A51 is she going ?? I assume it's a Garden Centre,
  2. Good on you mate, it's nice to see genuine appreciation.
  3. Is the show easy to find ?? (have you got a Post Code) What's the car parking like, on grass or hard standing ?? Info. much appreciated.
  4. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/pensioner-sentenced-for-naked-diy-exploits.html I thought this may have geen the true reason but I know your from Norfolk. (not very good at links)
  5. Your too much of a Gentleman you old **** Members come and Members go, that's the nature of any and all forums sometimes for the good and sometimes for the bad, some even get banned but that's another story. Experience with knowledge in todays society counts for very little, it appears that learn by your own mistakes is far more prevalent than asking a simple question to a true countryman. You should remain a Member even too keep the Old grey matter working and the fingers active by typing, it can be theraputic :o :o Which ever decision you take ..... I wish you all the best.
  6. You should keep them for your new Magnet. Dead birds are best but with the plastic your up and running from the word go. i.e. no waiting too shoot birds for the Magnet. I'm quite happy to leave plastic on all day and only change to real if the birds start jinking away. A little bit more Tip-ex on the neck will help with yours
  7. I know of two trainers who give 1 to 1 but there may be more; Dave Latham. Fendawood Gundods, Middlewich. (Home of Mediterian Blue.) Steve Wilkinson. Henhull Gundogs, Nantwich. henhullgundogs.co.uk You will have to Google search for their phone numbers, I've got them somewhere but
  8. e-mail inbound (slow typist)
  9. Superb advice. Do some research ... the right genes are far, far more important than a "friends" Ftw / Ftch stud dog. If you decide to breed a litter; Have at least a couple of orders with deposits paid. Will your vet dock. Time of year is important, late spring and early summer are best sale times. etc, etc. As 'Mudpatten' say's .. the best of luck with whatever you decide.
  10. I love the Irish Terrier but their not a small dog (20" at the shoulder) and suffer a little bit with ratting due their size and weight, rabbits in the open are no problem, well they are quite quick, no good going to ground. It's important that you get a working pup with hopefully a docked tail as most are now show dogs only, very sad. The Lakeland and Lakeland cross are very popular as working dogs (Border / Lake) but the Lakeland MUST be from working parents, as a pure breed I've found them very independant and quite fiery but most terriers are. The JRT from working parents can be a real hand full around other terriers but their not normally aggressive unless they feel threatend however it's srike first and ask questions later that sets them apart in the working class. The breed is so diverse it's impossible to recommend one as a pet and worker, it's either one or the other, your choice. The Border would be top of the list for me.
  11. A couple of years ago my vet charged £20 for one injection. (Only required 1 jab) Enquired on the first instance and the nurse said wait two days and bring her in. Less than 5 minuets work and away we went
  12. A true performer and musician he performed from a wheelchair due to ill health in the later years, sweet music and that sax could talk.

    Le Mans anyone ?

That's one crash McNish is very lucky to walk away from
  15. I've had mine for over 10 years (Zeiss Gold Cup), two pair with Yellow and Red lenses. J.H. Steward (Bisley) Ltd. based in Bristol. Superb glass but I would have liked the side arms too be a little bit more substancial, large lens and light-weight make them ideal for me. (none adj. bridge.) Mine have been battered and bruised in the pigeon hide yet they remain perfect. With the large lens area rain is a total pain in the butt and the spring ear pieces make them even harder to get off / get on, if you follow what I mean. Obviously over the last 10 years the frames will have been developed and improved however there's still a good 10 years left in mine provided the old eye-sight remains as is. I would recommend them but ..... mine cost £180 for two pair 10 years ago.
  16. It may be prudent to have a practise on Wednesday prior to the comp. You will learn far more by walking around with Ian E than actually shooting the comp. if you are a poor shot. Just my opinion.
  17. Quite a few resteraunt's have the bread already on the table but provide frozen butter when the meal is served. By the time I've eaten my starter the butter has just about thawed I don't eat bread when dinning out with a main meal, for no reason other than spoiling the taste, because I love butter. Different story at home .... it's bread roll's with everythink.

    Bull Fighting?

Each to their own, I agree. Bullfighting has just been banned in Barcelona one of the country's biggest supporters but at the last 'tournament' only 700 spectators watched, basicaly an empty arena in central Barca'. Their second arena is now a shopping mall
  19. Your mobile will get zapped by the Mods. A location might help !! And you must state a price.
