  1. That sounds a great day, is it open to singles or only teams? Looks like I will need to spend a bit of time practising..wont Terry be pleased!
  2. I have encountered the same thing before, glad to hear it isnt just me that found it. I didnt eat the rabbit, fearing the worsed. I had a notion that it may be the remainder of mixy...but i did chemistry, forensics and toxicology in my degree, not vetinary science. What i do think it is though is as a result of feeding on grass that has been spreyed with chemicals, basically, the liver is the area where the body transforms chmicals so that they can be excreted. It may be, as with alcohol that the liver has started to fill with fat or that there is a high level of copper in the water and that, as with some humans, this particular rabbit cannot handle such levels

    Idiot!!

I went out rabbiting last month with my .20 fac rapid, lost got into the field and saw a decent sized buck. Lined up on the back of its head and smack...the rabit didnt move. I though thats odd and tryed again..still nothing. On taking my head off the cheek piec and looking at the action, i realised that i had not put the mag in...Idiot. thing is, the bunny stayed there long enough for me to slip in the mag and let him av it. Anyone else done such a thing? Will
  4. I thought that no judge in the land would convict on video evidence from any group with a bias towards the prosecution. For if it were the case, then what would stop a LACS member who had a pre recorded video, i.e pre ban altering the dates at which it was recorded (the time stamp). It is possible to do this. There would need to be supporting evidence from the police to corroberate this.
  5. Ive got that new camera phone, for distance pictures, say of someone at 10 yrds in good light they are great. The only fault i have is that when i take pictures in a dark environment, even with the flash i seem to get small white horazontal lines.
  6. federal is good, very good. But i went for the remington stuff as it was cheaper, by about £5.
  7. I wouldnt go that far, just save for something i want. if i had plenty of cash i would have a sauer take down avantgarde or baser R93 attachet...there gorgeous. this one i can admire when im in the high seat, and nat be too fussed if i prang it. whilst out trying to ruin Bambies day. (though fallow arent in yet)
  8. Im not sure, as i have only just bought mine. It is sometimes refered to as the Tikka master range. i have the 595 delux. You may have the continental version.
  9. Im using remington core lokt 100gr, tis a bit of a beast. i took it to the range on sunday and shot it against my .270, didnt really notice any difference in recoil between the two, just .270 has a bigger bang.
  10. Your right, its pre T3, but i bought it new. I found a lot of T3`s second hand, even though they are quite recent. so i decoded not to get one, but the older version as i havent seen any of those second hand. Is there something wrong with the T3? Anyway, delux with mounts for £675. I was wondering if anyone had used a 595 and what result.
  11. Thought i would show you this, any personal experiences of them? Will
  12. What sort of accuracy are you getting with the SSG? Im after a .243.
  13. I went to york guns to have a look for a .243, I handled a T3. Didnt Like it, they dont feel solid.
  14. Call me old fashioned..but i dont like .17. I think a .22 is they way. Simply because can be silenced with subs. If you want to shoot crows out to 200rds then bully for you but i have never seen the need for one, maybe because i use something that might be new to some people. Its called field craft. I can see how fun and the exictment you can get from blowing a crow to bits at these ranges, but if you do your home work, get your field craft right, you can bring the most wary of crows in to 30 yards and as im sure your aware thats airgin territory. I await the s%&t storm i have just caused but there you go. p.s as for sakos, get one, they do seem to have a little to much plastic for a .22 of that price but i have a Hunter with a sak mod on it and a white tail experdition on bored and it does fine for me. I dont think there is anything especially bad on the market at the moment. Will
  15. That is a spot on idea, my half cousin or what ever relation he is had a buzzard. I was always curious as to how he trained her. This would clear a lot of misunderstanding up i have.
  16. Im looking for a new .243, i went to The Gun Room at Acklem on saturday. Great bunch of lads, anyway they were giving me all sorts of advice. I was thinking of a sauer 202, but also looked at a Tikka T3. I know the majority of rifles on the market will do around .5in at 100 yrds. Im looking to spend at the most £2000 on the whole outfit. what do you reckon?
  17. looks strangely like mine get a bipod on it, and youll be even more impressed.
  18. Im off to mine, with a camera. So if the antis start, ive got evidence.
  19. It seems you want a rapid, the balance is perfect (for me anyway and im not big), the weight is right back in your shoulder. If you do get one, also get a trigger shoe, as it spreads the pressure across your finger and allows you greater control. Now im going to put a spanner in the works, what caliber were you thinking of? Also the regulator is really good, though its better upgraded. Let me explain, i bought my .20 rapid and was pleased with it, then i learnt that Ben Tailor of theoBEN had set up shop and he does a tuning service to give you about 15 - 20% more shots. Funny they never mention that when i bought it . I sent it off to him and he worked his magic, then i had it put on FAC. If i was going to get a rapid now, i would have got it from him and had it tuned.
  20. Excellent photos, What rifle was that (cal. ect). Will
  21. No snow here, took the dog a walk this afternoon and was bloody cold though.
  22. I have a rapid mk 2 in .20..it was 12ft pounds, now is about 23. If you look at black pool air rifles they are doing some cobra stocks on air arms. Look nice too. My flat mate has a one in .22, at 12ftlbs, also a good choice. I wouldnt go for the new rapid that is coming out, as the bipod looks as though it will get in the way if your doing a combination of both walking and prone shooting. The aa is really quiet, and i do think it is quieter than the theoben. Then theres the price to consider and the amount of use its going to see.
  23. I had a summer where i was shooting almost everyday with rifles, be it air rifles of live, i was ace and hardly missed. So a farmers son knicknamed me Verminator...his sister knicknamed me the Energiser bunny...but thats another story
