  1. Thank you! I love it, and it's a fast handler too. My friend keeps nabbing it off me on game days because he shoots so well with it.
  2. AYA No.2 removable sidelock 12 bore side by side shotgun 26inch barrels with concave rib, 1/4 and 1/2 choke, colour case hardened removable actions decorated with scrollwork, chequered stock with white metal escutcheon for initials Dimensions: 15 1/2" LOP fitter with Silver’s pad. Obviously this can be shortened very easily 2 ¾ inch chambers The shotgun is in very good / near perfect condition, with nice wood. The barrels ring when tapped. There are no dents or scratches whatsoever. Unfortunately, I have to let this beauty go because my centrefire obsession has taken over my safes. Collection in Warrington, Cheshire, or RFD at cost. £1050 ONO
  3. W.W Greener GP from 1926! like new as you can see in the photos. I don't think there is a mark on it, which is incredible for a gun that is 97 years old!Shoots brilliantly, and I probably shoot better with it than anything else I own. Just don't have the occasion to use it much now.25 1/4 inch barell14.4 inch LOP.2 1/2 inch chamber.£300 onoHappy to RFD at you cost or collection in Cheshire. Could meet around the North West if relatively local.
  4. Nice. I bought one last week.
  5. Very nice indeed and worth the drive I think! There must be a lot less of them your side of the Atlantic to command those prices. I have actually just bought one in similar immaculate condition for £300. It's good that people appreciate them. The price of side by side guns has also gone up a lot in the last 3 years. They used to give them away, which was crazy, as it didn't reflect the real value or quality of some at all.
  6. Yes apologies, you are quite right! I had forgotten about that
  7. Greeners are usually 3/4 or full choke i think. Mine is a full choke. The funny thing is that I have all sorts of fancy shotguns, and the greener, which is too small lop for me, I shoot better with it than any of them.
  8. That's an unusual one. It's not a GP (general purpose), it is a police edition. I haven't seen one like that before. Interesting
  9. The only way to date them is to check the serial number in the book published called 'the greener story'. A few people own it, so you see people ask others to check for them. I don't know about a hinged cover. Maybe yours is the multi choke version where there is storage in the forend stock. Interested to see the pics though.
  10. I've got a mint one from 1926 with a short barrel. It was only worth 150 3 years ago. They can be from about 200 to 400 nowadays. Gone up in value, but not worth a great deal. They are very primative guns. I just fancy another with a longer barrel. They are great fun.
  11. If anyone has a Greener GP in very good condition, 14 1/2 stock or longer and 30 inch barrel or longer, I would be interested to hear from you.Only looking in north west England.
  12. Hi, I was wondering if this is still for sale?
