Have you tried one of the other triggers in the kit with a different profile? I got one for my grandson who's 14 and not that big and he's no issues with the LOP.

Excuse me butting in. Mine is great with Winchester hollow point subs which I buy by the brick. It's used purely for rats and I've taken them out to 40 yards with the NV, very accurate rifles. Easy rifle and action to strip and clean and it will never jam if kept free from large amounts of carbon build up.( if it starts miss cycling rounds it needs a clean) One screw in the fore end removes the barrel, a true break down rifle.

I very rarely post on any forum what I've been shooting or the numbers. The general licence never affected me, I just done the paperwork and carried on. I've still got all the free acreage I've had for years plus boundary farms if I need them. Seems to be a lot less folk out shooting than in the past. You could always hear someone else popping away in the distance which kept the birds on the move. New housing on greenfield land doesn't help, and townies thinking they can roam anywhere, has put paid to some areas of ground. Some people can't help themselves with the number's game, and add to the squirrel, rat, fox, pigeon, crow tally, personally I don't, I'm doing it for pest control. I'm out most day's, drilling has just finished, so on that, foxes at night around the chicken sheds they will be mating shortly so I go all out for them at this time of year so I don't have a massive problem to sort out in the spring. Still too mild for the rats to move in off the fields, but they will when the frosts start and all the cattle are in. Ferals moved back to the town's when lock down was over and and a ready supply of junk food was being thrown on the floor again, the odd foolish ones still try nesting in one of the sheds. Number's, who cares. I just work to keep them under control and at sensible levels.

I decided to change my gun. I purchased it new 19 years ago and it fitted like a dream, but unfortunately for the gun I've changed shape, shrunk, more rounded, less flexible etc. so it had to go as its a bit slack on the fitting side after 19 years of hammering it !!! I knew which new gun I wanted as I had tried one previously at the importers and they put it aside for me. I've got 4 LOCAL dealers that retail this particular make, so I toted around my oldie to sort out a value for a PX for the new love of my life. Well that was where the fun started, three of the dealers said if they were to take in my gun they would HAVE to send it off for a super steel re-proof as that is what everyone wants these days, and because of this I would have to take a kick in the nuts price wise, even though its only 19 years old and perfectly capable of handling steel shot. The offer price I excepted from a very knowledgeable dealer who didn't care that it wasn't super steel proofed, to the lowest dealer offer was an eye watering £700 difference. Dealer number three offered me a figure that was still £400 below the sum I accepted. The dealer who has taken it in will make a couple of hundred pounds on it when he sells it on, and he will also make a bit on the new gun I'm buying from him at the full recommended retail price, so he's happy, I'm also pleased with the deal. Due to the fact all the four dealers are local to me, three of them have shot themselves in the foot for their greed in using the steel shot saga as a way of trying to give a seller / buyer a swift kick in the nuts. What goes around comes around.

If you use a semi auto, it's a full strip down job every time after use if you want it to function properly. There are some good strip down videos on YouTube if you put your gun model in the search, and like wise for removing your ejector's on o/u for cleaning
