  1. I use to fish s carp lake, an old estate lake.Same thing happened after the lake flooded due to very heavy rain.we also removed alot of silver fish and bream.I think the flood washed nutritionts into the lake causing the increased weed and also the removal of the silver fish and bream had an affect. Possible clearer water as a result of less fish. The increased weed gave the fish plenty of places to hide and plenty of natural food. It was impossible to fish dispite attempting to remove the weed.it settled down after 3 years! 2. I relate to, stick with it and eventually things come together.I've got 3 years under my belt with the shotgun and it's finally becoming more instinctive to me. Both very different disciplines. I would over think things and found it very hard to know where I was going wrong. A few good tips from more experienced guns helped such as very rarely would you miss in front so I started doubleing by lead, practiced my gun mount every week in a mirror, find a cartridge and choke Im confidant with and stick to it. These tips helped me alot and I'm happy with my progress and I'm really enjoying my sport. My rifles have hardly been fired over the last year. Shotguns are very addictive!
  3. Shot a flight line last week for a couple of hours in the evening and when I checked thier crops they were all stuffed with acorns.
  4. I spoke to a chap called Harley in the armory who was very helpful when I had a technical issue with my hatsan escort magnum. Very knowledgeable and prompt resolution to the problem I was having.
  5. The only safe rifle shot is knowing where the round will go. If you have any doubt as to where your round will end up then it's not safe regardless of calibre or ballistics. What happens if someone or something is in-between the target and the houses?
  6. Great site, greetings from Wakefield. I'm a relative novice shotgunner but have fished all my life. I use my carp barrow without to much trouble. It's tricky in deep rutted fields and not great on wet clay, give you a good allover body work out with those conditions. Makes a great seat and table. It's got adjustable legs so good on uneven ground.all my kit fits in a army surplus kit bag and everything gets bungie cabled to the Barrow so if it does tip over stuff stays put.
