  1. I know I was just laughing at the gun price linked. I was pretty confident for a man who posts hundreds of times he was being helpful
  2. I believe it because it's now fashion to wear far too tight jeans
  3. have I have some of what ever your drinking
  4. Same as .204 ruger. Don't hear about them much anymore. Maybe (never shot one) that people have held onto them
  5. tbh that don't look too bad. As you said for a cheap gun why pay loads. I always have guns I literally drag through hedges so I'll likely try this myself
  6. 4 crumpets layered with butter, chuck some cheese on top, grill till the cheese is starting to go soft, put a fried egg on each, then a tin of Branston (not that heinz rubbish) beans over the lot. Leave for 1 min and it turns into a gooey mess. Divine.
  7. yea must of been a couple of thou. I usually only make signs for friends doing it, I've read that people use nails and a hammer and tap away but my logic was it would give colour too. Problem is its a bit dark. You live and learn
  8. great shout out there. Their is one about 200yards from work I'll have a look in the morning
  9. it's great as it says keep away from petroleum products! Were they taking the ****?!
  10. I'm going to gently oil it over the next 4 weeks and get a good build up. Also going to fashion up a cap of some sorts for the grip, was thinking red and black plastic discs or if I can get hold of it as I'm pretty low, a disc of bone or antler. I'l post up my final photos in a month or so when it's all done. Tips, advice and general **** taking gratefully received
  11. Not going to lie I nearly gave up. I was pretty bored of stabing wood at this point. The photos are being a sod so I finished grips and took the edges off the cheek piece to try and make it as smooth as I could. The holes I had burnt are a touch too deep by the end but I'm hoping the finish and wear will take the sharpness off them. I will say you wont drop this stock due to slippery hands
  12. So I burnt out the lines I was happy with and about 2 days later after 6 hours of poking red hot holes in a bit of beech I was done for a few days to let my hands recover. When I do signs into pine it's so much faster and I didn't take into account the beech would not take as well. Dam. Have patience I'm resizing photos
  13. So by this point I was about 2 hours in, the glass was empty and pretty sure I had a unhealthly dose of nicotine in my system I decided I wanted strippling as I don't have the skill to checker. Then I thought I make signs for friends using a soldering iron and in my eye would leave the black finish I wanted without trying to dye it. So the job of marking it out Then the front Decided the back should have a leaf or some such but drew a club shape you often see on guns. As I said it's a have a go gun
  14. skipped a fair bit of sanding there. Also at this stage I realised it was too fat below so had to mark out loads more to take off. Sanding, sanding, files, rasps and finally got to a point I liked. Took a chunk out the top too while I was there. Probably should of left it but to hell with it I done it anyway.
  15. I then decided that the grip didn't have enough definition to it. I like a bit of a pistol shape to it. A pronounced bottom shall we say only allowed to upload 2.93 mb hold on.... oh that's screwed it won' let me upload anymore photos
  16. Well it's a nothing post really, just showing what anyone can do if they get bored with a old bit of stock. Recently I posted that I was going to a auction and i picked up 4 guns. 2 x 12bores and a bsa meteor mk4 and a bsa scorpion (it was in a James bond film but by God its ugly). Surprisingly all were in good working order. But staring at that meteor I thought that was a boring bit off wood. I started shooting with a smk b45-3 in .22 and a meteor mk4. Then a mk 3 and then a mk1 then supersport. Anyway I've been lucky enough to warrant blowing £40 in case I screwed this up as work is taking off as the light stays out longer. I thought I'd have a go at 'pimping' the stock. Excuse the expression. But I'd always wanted a go so I thought sod it and got the chisels out. First off I hated the shape of the cheek piece. Practical but bland. Unfortunately I took no photos of it before I started marking in out but Google images will show you what I mean. I didn't have any ideas of what to do and didn't do any research so free handed the lot. First up mark it out on top of the masking tape. Then got my dremel out and cut thin lines roughly where I wanted it. Absolutely bricking it at this point but I always was a bit rash. Then I got the chisels out and started to take sections off. At a later point I realised the butt pad comes off easier than I thought.
  17. Somebody I know runs a charity shop and had this donated. They didnt want to put it in their shop so I put in a offer and took it home thinking it would be hilarious storming the girlfriend with my bike lid on. She's quite used to this. But it's bloody massive and is now gathering dust in the garage.
  18. Random one this but does anybody want to buy a armadillo riot shield? I'm based in north dorset. Ideal for when the neighbours upset you, impending ww3 or just when the other half starts throwing plates at you. Has a few scratches and 1 of the nuts is facing backwards but it's still usable. If that's your thing... Anyway... Im asking £30 come grab a useless bit of plastic. Sorry I can't post as i work 6 days a week and can't wait in for couriers (local sorting offices won' take it either as it's too large)
  19. This is my gun feel free to make a offer or for a swap. Trying to add more photos but I'm having problems resizing them atm. Will get it sorted by tomorrow night.
  20. I remember reading air gunner back in the day and always wanting this gun and a rapid 7 mk1. I'm slighty jealous
  21. Rams are horrible unless they are in a theoben. Avoid. Put on in a supersport and i couldn't get on with it, which is strange seeing as they ended up being in the lighting. Also bought a gamo rocket with it in. Gave that away it was so poor. Get a new spring, new seals and bit of moly grease, it will do wonders.
  22. I've that very scope on now. excellent value but the mounts ain't the best. should be alright for a precharged. v.good scope
