  1. Watched the first 4 episodes last night. I read the first 4 books but then got a bit bored, then tom cruise had a go but was terrible at it in the cinema. From what i remember this series is more to the books, and he doesnt **** about. The man is a mountain. Im really enjoying it, one of the only series ive seen on prime ive enjoyed.
  2. Valmet 412 12 bore 26'' barrels, 2 3/4" chamber. Non Ejector Auto safe Single selective trigger Top 1/2, bottom 1/4 choke. For sale is my valmet. Bought about 4 years ago for my dad to use as thats what he used in the 80's for clays, but he doesnt shoot any more. Making room in my cabinet for another pump. Its barrels are clean, the top chamber a little bit rough. Absolutely nothing of concern just being honest. Woodwork has dents and scratches, dare say 90% would come out with a hot iron. Blueing is ok on barrels, action has seen wear from being carried. Its ideal for a first gun, on the pigeons or truck. Collection only (gillingham, dorset) as im not asking a lot and cant afford to waste time going to a rfd. Shouldnt have to say it but cert holders only. Bargain at £50. Would swap for carts or .22 pellets. Also a free 16b single barrel. If im honest its rough. Bought to scratch a itch, its done that and now its scrap or give away. It has a few problems, 1, pitting half way, 2, the cartridges get stuck in the chamber, 3, the wood work is in extremely poor condition, bits missing. Ive cleaned the ejector spring up as it was full of **** but that hasnt cured it. Ive put a box through it and and half way through the box the carts started getting stuck needing to be rodded out. It cost me £20 and i cba with it and am letting it go to make room. Not gone within the week ill hand it in to the police to get destroyed. Again cert holders only and pick up only.
  3. Pretty much, he has i think 7 videos on them. Last person id go too
  4. If i was longthorne, id be wanting those guns back in sharpish. If the owner can afford such a pair, he at a guess wont be on the average farmers shoot, but will be mixing with potential clientèle who would be interested in such a range. Say whilst having a break, and people chatting, such a gun will have caught most guns eye, the first thing they would notice is the poor wood fit and then one question would lead to another and if this thread is true (which i have no doubt to believe), potential sales and a bad reputation will follow. Word of mouth on a exquisite piece of work, can tarnish a small limited production company. Not being rude, and you dont have to answer duffryn, have you been on/part of many syndicates, and had many guns come and ask about said shotgun with the defects? Have they been put of by it and the customer service you have received?
  5. No2. 100%. The head would stay eerily still, the rest of her would be like a snake on hot sand.
  6. I must admit, late in my 30s i became rather sad and started collecting coins. Its a thing my fathers side has done for decades, theres thousands going back. I have books full of old pound coins and any special editions currency currently out there. Hopefully my grandkids (if i have any)in 30 years will be asking 'whats a coin?' and then ill be able to bore him to death about the time a loaf of bread cost the same as this little recyclable lump of metal 😅
  7. Surprise surprise Its lost 80bar in 2 days. Its going back. Right ive had this from a gunstore who keep sending it back to sportsman gun center who distribute it to get fixed. Also ive had enough of wasting diesel, do i have any rights to make them collect it? Its 45min each way, about £10 in my van. Should i just **** the store off and go straight to sgc? What consumer rights do i have? If i took it out of its stock to do a leak test to find where its leaking could i void the warrenty? I want a refund. Its a piece of ****.
  8. Piece of plastic mesh aint going to stop a sharp saw. Most of those pics you see of people with chewed up faces have been from top handle saws, or people who shouldnt/havent been trained to use one. Most common injuries are left arm and feet/thigh. By all means wear one if it makes you feel comfortable, but its designed to stop chip hitting your face, branches from cracking your skull and from going deaf. Even my instructor told me not to bother if theres nothing to fall on you. Safety specs, proper ears muffs, a chain catcher thats present and proper grip.
  9. Ill chuck this in the mix then, apart from as above with gloves, i dont bother with a lid unless somethings above me. Doing logs, i can't see the point, cover your ears and eyes, job done.
  10. Snap. Mine went back twice. I wanted a refund but they ignored it. Thing is i was proper pissy. Its a 60mile round trip, doing 2 extra times as matey in sgc from all accounts didnt bother changing the oring just reseated it first time it went in (i mean what a ******* idiot, its a 10p oring ***, change it if youve opened the gun up) to which it obviously **** its self straight away. So back to sgc, he now has changed the oring. Ive been told the valve has been changed as well, but the paper work doesnt state that. After 2 **** ups i cant say ive got much faith in the thing. Ive done 10 pellets over a chrono (11.1-11.2ft/lb), thats it in 3 months of owning it as its been in the shop for about a month, and couple of weeks inbetween trying to find a slot to drop it off when im available and their open. Ive been busy with health and work issues so hardly had time to get out and try it. So at new years time i planned a big weekend away with a bit of airgunning involved, so took it to wales and by the time id got there it had leaked the lot in the hard case. So that ****ed the weekend, nearly a waste of 300+ miles, got home and i videod trying to fill it (as i knew what would happen), you can hear it pop as the seal gets blown out, i would put it on but im swearing a fair bit. I got it back last thurs, i checked it over, it had 60bar in it. How the **** can they test a gun with 60bar. *** the reg is probably set at 80 or above. So i set too with the hand pump, i dont know if youve ever filled a 500+cc bottle to 220bar with a pump, its hard work, i stopped after 150 bar and took the whip off to see if it was going to dump its load, it didnt. So, so far so good. Carried on pumping to 220bar, and ive put it in the cabinet. Ill check it after work tomoz, if its leaked, if it has, ill be proper kicking off. Its a shame, its actually a nice feeling rifle to me, tho ill need to tweek the trigger (if it actually holds air).
  11. Fully agree. I see it all the time. Also what walker says, a sharp saw is a safe saw. Mind you i like a full chisel with the rakers off, bucking like a bronco 😂👍 plunge cuts are off the menu 😉
  12. I think i know what you mean and think thats an american style, usually just made of baked leather i think but most trousers have hooks in them to latch on to your laces (mainly to stop the dust going down your boots). I personally wouldnt rely on it. Worst case ive seen is my mother. Shes cut her own wood for 30 odd years and being old and arrogant only ever wore hiking boots or wellies. Just using a 35cc piece of husky junk, she took out a perfect chuck about 2" long out the side of her left foot. Her foot slipped whilst standing on the log which she was cutting, as me nor my brother was there to help. Absolute bloodbath when i got there to rush her to hospital. Proper hole. A chainsaw 'cut' removes material, its not a cut. Because the flesh has been removed, theres not a lot they can do to fill the hole. She had a open wound packed with mesh for about 3 months because of that, another 3 for it to heal good enough to walk on and not hurt. Good scar too. First day of wearing my spanking new boots i ran my saw along the side of them, i was seriously angry about ******* them up but also i was so glad i wore correct ppe for a change.
  13. I wear pfanner gladiator trousers. About £260 a pair. My boots cost £210. Depends how much you value your limbs. But then im not using little saws and the only reason i spent that much is because they are designed to be comfortable. Cheap gear is really sweaty and knackering. I do know 1 guy who wears the oregon trousers from screwfix, but google forest and arb/f.rjones/sam turner websites and youll find kit for your budget that will stop the chain. I will say footwise, the wellies are about the most uncomfortable **** youll wear, get boots if you can.
  14. It means 'direct message', same as pm (personal message).
  15. When we first moved to wales, the side annex was a coal store that held about 3 tonnee of coal. It had never been cleaned out, and obviously had a lot of dust. I mean, never cleaned out, easily a tonnee of dust. I specifically remember mum looking like a miner, she used to make bricks using the coal dust and cement in a round press and that was the main fuel for the rayburn for the winter.
  16. Dvd has a max resolution of 720x480 Bluray is 1920x 1080 (standard nowadays) Bluray 4k is 3840 x 2160 (though the films are super expensive, and usually so are the players.) You dont get 4k dvd players Dont get dvds and blurays confused just because both are 'discs'. Blurays wont work in a dvd player, dvds will work in a bluray player. Ill add that generally dragging out a dvd quality of picture to a 55inch or bigger screen can make it look ****, even after its tried to 'upscale'. I wont go into frame rate /hz. Most people i know just stream everything now - me inc, which seems isnt a option for you. So honestly, get a decent samsung/lg/sony, bluray player, test a few soundbars and you'll be fine. Amazon or john lewis when youve made your mind up. Agree. They are absolute tools. One tried to refuse me to allow me to buy my tv because it was cheaper than some, so went on to say they wouldnt uphold the warrenty if it went wrong 😂 salisbury currys in a nutshell.
  17. I hated my mossberg 500. Felt like a gun that would last but by god it was crude. And so noisy, the rattles from the foreend, might as well be banging pans together while your walking about. I've got a sxp now. 100% a better handling gun, and I score better with it than anything else I've owned, but I'll guarantee the mossberg 500 will still be going when the Sxp is long dead and in parts. Benelli is on my list and a remi at some point.
  18. My Huawei one used to clock up quite accurately to the other guys with Samsung and apple watches. Reckoned we were all within a few hundred a day. In the summer it was 8-14000 a day with a strimmer on your hip. Nackered.
  19. I've tried a few main brands, Air arms, sak, the older sak, Edgar bros, theoben, etc and the older hw is easily the best main stream I've used now. Not tried the newer ones. Yet. Another option is get down a club. You'll probably see dozens of different brands and might get to try a few
  20. I'd load up the vid of me filling it, I knew it was going to go pop so filmed it and showed the rfd where I bought it. You can hear the inlet valve **** itself then a load of me swearing. So best not show it on here. Its not even allowing it to be filled, it's as soon as the hose pressurised to the gun you get a very very loud click and then it dumps the air. Anyway its back at the shop, see how it gets on. Never had this problem with theobens, fxs, falcons or bsas.
  21. Don't need one. They ring mobiles, and my misses supposedly has registered with tps. She gets them monthly
  22. My misses loves those calls. She'll play them along for at least 10mins. Then at the crucial part, it's on loud speaker for everyone to hear. They are a pretty obscene bunch, usually has the same key words, "die" "white" "bitch" "hoar" "s##t". Hilarious
