  1. How wide is the surface you want to mount the spikes on?
  2. It's ok if you can get at what you want, which without stripping most of the plastic off the engine you can't 😂 I changed the alternator on that rover on my own,no prior experience, basic tools, no Haynes manual etc, just the old man pointing it out and saying make sure you adjust the belt properly lol. I wouldn't even bother trying on the golf I've got now.
  3. While my first car doesn't go as far back as some of yours, I do miss being able to fix things on the drive. M reg Rover 214 sei, 101,000 on the clock with a blown head gasket. Would and did drive that car anywhere without a moment's hesitation, no breakdown cover, just a set of jump leads in the boot. Wouldn't dream of buying a car without warranty now, nor would I be without full breakdown with parts and labour.
  4. @Mostmaverman If your interested in joining the UKCC (United Kingdom Cartridge Club) pm me and I'll send you the details. We meet 4 times throughout the year and there are plenty up for sales and swaps 👍
  5. Give CCC a look for insurance, save yourself a packet over BASC.
  6. Most likely, market day tomorrow. Think he also trains gun dogs.
  7. Did you press the quote button? He normally runs a market stall but it's only a couple days a week which is probably why it says closed on the website. Might be worth trying to ring him if not 👍
  8. Got all excited thinking there were from the year 1925 then 🤦😂 Good luck with the sale 👍
  9. Good luck with getting it sorted, he's been my first port of call for a long time now with anything air gun related.
  10. Google JB air guns, i got my GAT gun from him and he's repaired bits for me in the past, he's a top bloke 👍
  11. I always feel sorry for the blue tits, they have a feed and the great tits and robin always push them off, then the nuthatch comes along and gets rid of the lot of them haha.
  12. The bloke who done our counter balance refresher a couple years back showed us forklift relevant ones. Some very nasty and very graphic.
  13. Sweet 16, lovely caliber to shoot. Will definitely be having another. Finding clay loads might be an issue though. @Old Boggyis the 16 bore man 👍
  14. Got mine down to about £280 this September, renewal came back at something ridiculous in the £400 region. LV were pretty good 2 years in a row + they covered me to drive commercial vehicles on my own insurance.
  15. There's a decent butchers in lavenham that does game + the woman who works in there shoots the venison, I'll ask next time Im passing. Thanks for the tip 👍
  16. I'll keep that in mind for the next lot of feed, cheers 👍 I made own fat balls this year, lard, bread crumbs, oats and a cheap fruit and nut mix from Aldi and they seem to like it.
  17. Don't go derailing my thread with your smutty comments you two. 😂 When the birds first started showing up at the feeder me and my boy had been watching them coming and going etc then one morning as we were leaving for school he goes to me 'what did you call them birds again dad, titties?' Had me in stitches 😂
  18. Got about a dozen of these little fellas visiting the feeder all day long now, along with a handful of great tits, a regular robin and as of yesterday a nuthatch. I think they are watching me as much as I'm watching them as they are starting to tame, one flew in and landed on the railing no more than 18" from me yesterday and sat, then had a feed and flew off.
  19. Ahh ok 👍 Shame we're so limited on choice when it comes to small bore auto's. Bernardelli do a semi auto garden gun but they are like hens teeth and the ones I have seen were all sec1.
  20. Would the cr8 be an alternative if you have no luck with the Remington?
  21. Thanks for the reply MM, (throughly enjoy reading your posts like that) I know he likes the idea of sea fishing as he wants to eat what we catch, I agree though I know neither of us want to be out on a boat that long or in bad weather 😂 when we went mackerel fishing down in Devon we was out for around 2 1/2 hours and that was plenty. After about an hour he said he felt sick, then the bloke whipped the cool box out with the cans of drink and bars of chocolate and he decided he was hungry instead 😂 I remember when I was younger and used to stay with my stepdad in Felixstowe on the weekends and there would be people fishing off the beach but I haven't been back for a while now so not sure if people still do?
  22. Apologies for the late reply, neglected to check the thread! Thanks for the suggestion @Westley I'll have a look for a copy next time we're shopping. @Dave at keltonwhen I was in my teens a few of the lads I used to hang about with fished, went down to the rivers and pond that's local and watched a few times but never took any serious interest, wish I had now haha.
  23. Just had a look on Google and all I can find is one line on a Wikipedia page.
