Clay cracker

I have a left handed farbarm auto, with 30gram+ cartridges it cycles flawlessly, but willl not cycle anything 28gram or below. Very good quality internals, only plastic on mine is the trigger guard. I would recommend them for use with heavier cartridges myself. Wouldnt recommend for clays unless your ground allows heavier cartridges.

To my knowledge there is no commercial rounds available that are 3” and have 6 or 7/7.5 shot size but, the closest thing i know of to your description is a Winchester traacker 32 gram 7 size shot but that is a 70mm hull.

Thinking of purchasing a 12 bore slip on hushpower moderator. Does anyone have any experience of using these ( slip on types) ? How are they for balance? Opinions appreciated

Do you have an approximate price for lining? And a recommended person? Also i thought barrel lining was stopped due to it not working correctly? ( but i may be wrong)

I recently made a post about my .410 hammer gun side by side , thanks to bosher who set me straight on the fact that they were hand made to fit the action of these old guns and fitting another set of barrels would be very difficult ( sadly) let alone finding the correct set of barrels due to them being widely mass produced to different specifications. But i really like this small shotgun and would love to be able to use it again. Is there any options that people can come up with to get the barrels back in use? Many thanks Clay Cracker.

Thanks for that saddler but I already know my wads and cards are 11 gauge. Was going to load them with pyrodex but cant seem to find any round my way so, trying to get some nitro data for the components i all ready have.

Hi just wanting some help all the loading data i have is based on black powder and substitutes, i was wondering if anyone could recommend an nitro powder load for a 12 bore 2 1/2 brass case, winchester large pistol primers and 1/2 inch fibre wads 30 or 32 gram lead. Thanks.

My VS is half and full. I'll have to pattern it some time. I have been trying to get some permission door knocking for pigeons none so far! Have to keep trying, wouldn't mind a local shooting buddy/s.

It was the end of the season ( Beaters day) was originally using 30 gram 6s but was pricking birds so swapped to the 32 5s later that day and that was more humane.

Thanks matone, Heaviest i haves used in this are 32 gram 5s on the pheasants, certainly worked.
